Although our 2012 Recreational Softball Registration Day is over, ON-LINE REGISTRATION is available NOW! Follow the link below to register. You will need to start with Create Account as this is a new system for JGSA so prior registration information is not available to the system. Also, when starting to register, you will be asked to search for past registrations - it is suggested that you "Skip" this screen as it will not find your information and slow down your registration process . Should you run into any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at jgsasoftball@hotmail.com or by calling one of your JGSA Board Members.

Registration for Seniors, Majors and Intermediates is open until February 15th with registrations between then and March 15th allowed subject to a $25 Late Fee. Registration for the Minors and Rookies is open until March 15th with registrations between then and April 15th allowed subject to a $25 Late Fee. It should be noted that those paying the Late Fee may not initially receive league issued equipment so all are encouraged to get signed up as soon as possible.

Thursday, October 13
Open registration for 2012 Jaguar Select teams is now closed. Thanks to all of the coaches, parents and players for participating in our Jaguar Select tryouts. Further communications on applicable team selections will be done by a JGSA board member and/or manager.
Regarding 14U teams, there will not be tryouts for this age group. If you are interested in putting your name on a list of potential players, please send an email to Paul Rusch at pauljodirusch@msn.com. Please keep in mind that coaches will be putting teams together themselves for 14U so by sending your name to JGSA, it does not guarantee placement on a team. The list will be available for coaches that may need additional players. For additional information, please see the FAQ document on team formation and sponsorship requirements.

JGSA is proud to offer aspiring and established pitchers an opportunity to develop their pitching skills this winter. On January 22nd, a FREE pitching overview clinic will be open to all interested. We are encoiuraging all girls to stop in and check it out, they may find that they would benefit from enrolling in the remainder of the clinic but there is no commitment. Teams are often in need of pitchers and this is a great opportunity for your daughter to get some practical pitching experience. This is also a great way for our established pitchers to check their skills and work on those areas where they can improve.

JGSA is again holding a Daddy-Daughter dance this February 11th at Horizon Elementary. This is a fun opportunity for your daughter to attend one of her first dances. Snacks, music and dancing will be available for all and flowers will be available for purchase at the door. Information about the dance can be found in the attached flier. We hope you can join us for some pre-Valentine's fun!

JGSA is offering an opportunity for our pitchers and catchers to get together on (most) Tuesdays and Thursdays in February and March at Lawson Elementary and play some catch! This is a great opportunity for the girls to work on their skills. See the handout for more information.

JGSA is pleased to be able to offer information about all facets of youth softball - including the development of coaching skills. We are fortunate to be able to announce such a clinic occurring in the near future. On Saturday, February 4th, DMACC will be holding a Coaching Skills Clinic from 9 AM to 5:30 PM at the DMACC Campus in Boone. Please see the attached document for more information.
