JETS GOLD: UNWRITTEN RULES

People often say, " Sports teach responsibility & committment".
We welcome everyone to take this opportunity to read the
JETS "Unwritten Rules"
We could all benefit by learning to develop these rules
on and off the field.
First, "UNWRITTEN RULES" are rules that are not written because these
are the rules of life we know to be true and shouldn't have to be told.
BE ON TIME
On time is "on the field, warming up", before the start of each practice.
Remember, just as in life "if you're not 5 minutes early, you're late".
ABSENCES:
If a player must miss a practice she MUST call the Mgr &
Head Coach. DO NOT HAVE YOUR PARENTS CALL FOR YOU.  DO NOT EMAIL.
Do your best to "not" leave a message.
In other words, don't be a:  chicken dancingAnd then, after practice call to find out what you missed & need to do or know.

INJURIES:
In the event of an injury the player should still attend games & practices.
Much can be learned from helping coaches & listening during practice.

UNIFORMS/EQUIPMENT:
Arrive prepared & ready to play.
Don't dress at the field or in the dugout.
Shirts tucked in, clean & in perfect condition at all times.

Equipment should be taken care of with respect.
Keep equipment in bags, never on the ground or on the bench.

CELL PHONES:
NO Cell Phones at practice, games,  or ringing in bat bags.

FRIENDS/PARENTS:
Friends or parents should not attend practice "if" it is a
distraction to "any" player.

DUGOUT:
ONLY Coaches & players in dugout AT ALL TIMES.
Parents DO NOT go in dugout EVER, EVER, EVER

CONDUCT:
Good sportsmanship and professional behavior is expected
at all times, and, in all circumstances.
No conversation with umpires, coaches or players  regarding a call/play.
Please allow coaches to coach.
Parents are encouraged to work with their daughters, but, not at games or team practices especially when up to bat or playing on the field.
PARENTS:  Be your daughter's mm or dad...be her biggest fan

ADDRESSING CONCERNS/PROBLEMS:
Try to remember the 24-Hour rule
& then,
"Players" should always call the manager or coach to set
up an appropriate time to address questions or concerns.
It's easy to be a good sport when everything
is going our way
How do we conduct ourselves when things aren't?
