Here's the "Reader's Digest" version of "The History of the JETS"
The JETS are Managed by Craig Pearce & joined by
Head Coach, Carissa Millsap & Coaches Holly Pearce & Jessica Millsap.
Their home field is at Biola University in Orange County.

In 1998 a couple of players from the Westlake Agoura Rec League left to play travel.
1 by 1 five of those players called Craig Pearce, still coaching in WAGS and asked,
"are you ever going to start a travel team?"
11 days later those 5 players and 6 others from the Conejo Valley took the field
as the So Cal JETS 12U. In their 1st weekend they
finished 2nd behind the Tournament Champions the Panthers Gold.
7 months after that they finished 5th at ASA NATIONALS
tieing with American Pastime.
"Easy" Craig said, " it was the only name I didn't see on the ASA List of Teams,
it's easy to say & easy to spell"
In order for the girls to continue to play together
they moved up an age division each year for 3 years.
That meant for the 1st 4 years the JETS were virtually a 1st year team.
By 2002 they were the So Cal JETS GOLD & have been playing Gold ever since.
What about lately?
4 years into playing Gold while competing at ASA NATIONALS they now had players
from Northern, Central, Southern California & one player from Denham Springs, Louisiana.
They said "we need to drop the So Cal". That's when they became the
 GOLD
The Coaches:
This 2008 Season Carissa will be starting her 8th year with the JETS.
She was a catcher & proudly wore a Bruins uniform, graduating from UCLA in 2000.
One highlight of her softball career was winning the 1999 College World Series Championship
as a UCLA Bruin.
In addition to coaching the JETS she is Head Coach at Biola.

Holly played & graduated from San Francisco State in 2006 with a degree in Psychology.
She experienced the thrill of pitching 3 games aiding the SFSU Gators to
a 3rd Place Finish in the College World Series D2.
She also played 3 years on the American International Summer Team in Europe.
She is in her 4th season coaching the JETS
& 3rd season at Biola University as an Asst Coach.

This year the JETS GOLD proudly welcomed the JETS 16's & 14's
to the JETS Family. In their first qualifier the JETS 14's went undefeated & became
the 2008 California State Champions.
