Jesse Burkett Little League: Information About Our Divisions
We host multiple divisions within our Baseball and Softball programs. Below provides an explanation of the age groups considered at each division for both programs.
IMPORTANT: To determine your child's League Age; please visit our Forms and Document page to review the 2018 League Age Charts.
Majors Division is considered for players who are league age (11-12) - Your child is required to attend a try-out to assess their ability play at the advanced level. If your child is younger than league age 11, they are allowed to try-out but please note making a team is dependent on their skill and the number of openings we have available.
Minors AAA Division is considered for players who are league age (8-11) - This is an intermediate level in which players will pitch to each other. Your child will need to attend an evaluation to provide coaches an understanding of your child's level of skill. We encourage fair play and will even out the talent when we draft our teams. PLEASE note that this is not a try-out as each child will be placed on a team.
Minors AA Division is considered for players who are league age (6-8) - This level is considered for players who will begin to learn more advanced skills of the game and coaches at this level will pitch the players. Teams practice 1 night a week. Games are played on Saturday mornings.
NOTE: IF your child is considering their future path into our SOFTBALL program, you are encouraged to sign your daughter into our AA Softball Division.
T-ball Division is considered for players who are league age (4-5) - This is truly the beginners program in which your child will be taught the basic skills of the game. Teams practice 1 night a week. Games are played on Saturday mornings.
Junior/Senior SOFTBALL Program is considered for players who are league age (13-16). This is a proficient level in which players continue their development as softball players.
