12 Year Old Pitching Sensation Connor Donoghue throws a Perfect Game!!!!
Worcester - Connor Donoghue of Noar's Oil retired all 18 batters on 61 pitches today against Herlihy Insurance. Noar's Oil, a historic team with a 50+ year history in Jesse Burkett, edged Herlihy 1-0 in a pitching duel that also featured an incredible pitching performance by Jack Whalen. Noar's Oil provided exceptional defense enroute to victory! According to the District 4 Commisioner, Doug Hannam, the last Perfect Game thrown in the District was in the late 70's or early 80's. District 4 is currently comprised of 19 Little Leagues from Greater Worcester County. Donoghue's battery was PJ Sharry. Noars Oil is managed by Jay Finlay. The game was officiated by Umpire Bob Parker.

- Each player that sells 15 tickets will receive either a Burkett Softball or Baseball hooded sweatshirt. (Check out the flyer with a picture of the sweatshirts that can be won!)
- Each team with 100% participation, which includes at least 3 tickets per player, and a team average of 10 tickets per player, that entire team will receive a hooded sweatshirt of their choice.
- The first baseball and softball team that reaches the 100% participation goal will get their hoodies embroidered with the player’s name
- Each team with 100% participation will get a slushy party at the snack shack
- Every 5 tickets a player sells, their name gets entered once into the raffle held during Spree Day , May 19th, (i.e. 25 tickets, 5 entries) Prizes include, an Ipad, Ipods, sports memorabilia, sporting goods, gift certificates to area stores and more.
- Between April 15th and April 25th, each day we will draw two names from the people that turn in their raffle tickets to the snack shacks, the first daily winner will receive a JBLL Hoodie and the second daily winner will receive a commemorative 2002 Jessie Burkett Little World Series T-Shirt 2012 Calendar Raffle
If you require more tickets to sell, please let your coach know and they will be supplied. Players and Parents, please turn your tickets into your team representative or the snack shack.
