Fall Season Wraps with Great Day at Fall Friendly

As a new team with as many returning players as there are new, the fall season wrapped in solid fashion with the Girls hosting a four team Round Robin at Bundt Park in Clinton Township. JG's played host to the NJ Sparks, Livingston Thunder and NJ Mystics under beautiful skies going 2-1 on the day. If this fall is an indicator, paired with winter training and a spring of high school softball, the 16U has taken step a positive steps towards becoming a solid team with some exciting play ahead of them in 2008 in both 16U tournaments and 18U Showcases alike.

Fall Starts with Bang as 16U Wins Masquerade Ball Tournament in Mt. Olive

Barely out of tryouts with few practices behind them, the JG 16U squad came together putting a strong performance forth in the Mt. Olive Marauders/Avalanche Masquerade Ball held on the weekend of October 13 and 14, 2007.

After going 1-1 on shortened seeding Saturday due to weather while playing in costumes as was the theme of the tournament (Player Prisoners with Prison Guard Coaches, not far from the truth actually!), the team powered into Sunday edging out the Lehigh Valley Outlaws 3-2, convincingly defeating Team Titan 7-2 in the semi's while scoring all their runs against the Livingston Thunder in the third inning going onto a 5-0 shutout victory.

The Girls wrap their fall season next weekend hosting a Round Robin in Clinton Township.
