Jenks Silver: Welcome

Welcome to the website for the 2012 3rd Grade Jenks Silver football team coached by Keith Parsons and Tad Fifer.

We have two JENKS teams playing for the INFC Championship this Saturday. Jenks 3rd GRADE White and Cody’s brothers team- JENKS 6th GRADE SILVER. I know that many of our players have friends playing on WHITE so go root them on to victory if you can.

Congratulations to the boys again for their hard work in school. They will be recognized for their effort this evening during halftime at the Jenks High School Game. They will announce for the recipients to gather at the NW Corner 10 minutes prior to halftime. As this is a playoff game for Jenks, everyone must purchase a ticket to the game this evening. Please have the players wear their Maroon Team Jersey to the game this evening.

Please let me know if your player can not make it this evening and I will have the DVD’s from the Bixby Game with me this evening.

CONGRATULATIONS to JENKS SILVER for winning the 2012 JTA Team Academic Award!!!!! Way to go boys, we say Play Smart and Play Hard!!!!! Awards will be presented this Friday night, November 9th at Halftime of the Jenks High School playoff game vs. Tulsa Washington. He game begins at 7:30pm at the Jenks High School. All winning teams and individual straight A awards winners will be called down, by the announcer, to the NW corner of the stadium 10 minutes before halftime.

Game tonight will be at 8:00pm at the Owasso-Ator Field. We are the HOME team and will play the winner of the 7:00pm game between Sapulpa vs. FT. Gipson. We plan to wear our MAROON game jersey, but please have both available. When we win tonight, we will play again on Thursday at 7:00pm on Field #1 at Broken Arrow as the home team. This is the same field we played our first game.

Please have the players plan on participating at the awards during the halftime and wear their MAROON game jersey on Friday. This should be fun and exiting for them as it honors them for their hard work in school and the JTA program that truly supports education with sports.

2012 Academic Award Winners

According to the weather, it will get really chilly by game time this evening and especially with the sun going down earlier. Please make sure the players have enough on to keep them warm tonight. I think it is suppose to be 48 to 50 degrees at game time.

The boys had another GREAT game Saturday and hope they keep it rolling tonight with another win. We will be playing Bixby Blue tonight at 8:00pm on Owasso-Ator Field. We will be the HOME team tonight and in the bleachers on the other side from the previous games. The players will need to be at the field NLT 7:00pm and we plan to play in our Maroon game jersey, but please bring both jerseys.

I have attached the Bracket for the Semi Finals that will be played in Broken Arrow and the Championship on Saturday played at Sand Springs HS. With a WIN tonight, we will play Thursday at 6:00pm against the winners from the Union Bracket in Broken Arrow and if not, we play Tuesday at 8:00pm at Owasso-Ator Field then again Thursday at 7:00pm in Broken Arrow if we win Tuesday’s game.

It is so sad that this is the last week of football and the players have played hard this season and moving on to other sports, but lets keep them motivated to finish this week strong and win a championship.

2012 Post Season Semifinals and Finals Bracket

The boys had a great win last night and will move a head to play Sapulpa Saturday at 3:00pm at Owasso-Ator Field. We are the visiting team again and will be in our WHITE game jersey and need to provide a Chain Gang. The players need to be at the field NLT 2:00pm and we will have weigh-ins. The next game, win or lose, we will be the HOME team on Monday with MAROON game jerseys. I have attached the recent bracket as of today. If we win Saturday, we play at 8:00pm Monday, if not we play at 7:00pm.

In the Post Season Tournament, each team will play through their bracket and then the winners of the Winners Bracket and the winners from the Loser Bracket will meet for Semifinals later in the week, most likely Thursday. The Post Season Championship would be played that following Saturday between the two winners. I spoke to the INFC this morning and they said they didn’t have those brackets completed yet. From this point we would be looking at 4 wins to be crowned Champions next Saturday.
