Blue Crush start spring season off with a win
The Blue Crush defeated the TUSC Spirit in the first game of the season. The BC started off strong and finished the game with a 9-0 victory. "This was a great all around game from the entire team and I'm very proud of the way all the girls performed today" said coach Randy Totty. Kylie Ray received her first action with the BC after a knee injury before last season and was able to score 3 goals. She will be a great asset to the team with her play at both forward and goalie. Next up for the BC is Beeline at Jenks Soccer Fields this Saturday March 12th 2005. We hope to see everyone at the game.

Blue Crush Records Second Win

Blue Crush win a close one
The Blue Crush went into saturdays game undefeated and remained that way by defeating the TUSC Twisters 3-2. This victory improved the BC's record to 5-0 this season.
Great job girls !!!
Next up for the BC is the Union Cosmos at the Jenks Soccer Complex next saturday. This game should be a tough well played game with both teams always at the top of the standings.

Blue Crush win another one goal game
This was another tough game that the Blue Crush found a way to win. The Cosmos are a very good team and did a great job in defense denying the BC any scoring opportunities. Loren Michael scored what turned out to be the winning goal with a assist by Nelli Batista. Once Loren scored the defense of the BC tightened up and held on for the victory. This was truly a defensive game and one that the BC will remember for a long time.

Blue Crush Beats The Pride 2-1
This was a close well played game on both sides of the ball but in the end the Blue Crush came out on top. After being down 1-0 at half time the BC fought back for the win despite a few bad calls that disallowed one goal. A late goal by Abby Saizow gave the BC the lead for good. Nikki Castic made a number of saves in the goal and preserved the win with her outstanding play in the net. This was a great team win and everyone should be proud of their performance.

Todays game against the Tulsa United Chili Peppers was the hardest of the season. Both teams played a great game and were evenly matched. The first goal was scored by the BC in the first half. The Chili Peppers answered back with a goal of their own to tie it up. Although there were several shots taken by both teams, the goalkeeping was awesome on both sides and kept the score tied. BC keeper Nikki Castic has had a streak of great games. Good job Nikki and to the rest of the Blue Crush also!!

Blue Crush wins third League Championship
Blue Crush finished off the first season in U14 with a win and claimed the league championship by finishing the season with a 9-0-1 record. This was the third season in a row that the BC won the league title but looking back this one was one of the most difficult. The combination of older and more experienced players gave the BC difficulties that they did not have to contend with in past, but in the end all the hard work paid off and the BC came out on top. Congratulations on a great season and we will see everyone in the spring.

The Blue Crush won the GCSA Tournament this weekend by defeating the Union Hot Shots in the championship game 2-0. The Hot Shots played a great game and had won the Broken Arrow Spring Tournament just weeks before at the same complex. But this weekend belonged to the BC with the team advancing through the tournament without allowing a goal. In the second half Natalie Paige and Nikki Castic both scored one goal each. These goals sealed the victory, awarded the tournament championship to the BC, and put an explanation point on a great season. A season that saw the BC play against some of the best soccer teams in the state at the Presidents Cup in Norman Ok. A season that saw the BC win its fourth league championship in a row. A season that saw the BC advance as a team and increase their skill level. All this added up to a unforgettable season that allowed the BC to represent MTSC in Tulsa and around the state well with good sportsmanship and fair play. But most importantly the girls developed friendships with team mates and had a great time just playing the game.

Congratulations ladies on a tremendous season!!!!!

The Blue Crush won their third game of the season by defeating the MTSC Liberty 2 goals to none. It didn't come easy for the Blue Crush with the BC playing a big part of the game with only 10 players. Liberty played a good game but the BC broke the scoreless tie when Taylor McCorkel put the ball in back of the net. The goal was set up by a good cross from the right wing that caught Liberty a little out of position and made for an easy goal. The second half was more of same with the BC controlling the ball but having a tough time scoring. At about the fifty minute mark Nellie Batista finished off the scoring when she made great shot from 22 yards out that went just under the cross bar.

Kylie Ray and Abby Saizow combined for the shutout while splitting time in the goal. But overall the total team effort shown was what put the Blue Crush over the top this time. Good job ladies and keep up the good work!!!

Today's game against the BA Express was a great show of teamwork. The girls really pulled together to achieve the 3-1 victory. BA was a great opponent. They have a quick team that challenged the BC to the end. Once again the BC's defense proved to be strong. Taylor McCorkle continued to lead the team with two goals, while Brittney Totty picked up the third.
Next week, the team plays MTSC Liberty. These two teams have a long history of great games. We look forward to meeting up again.

Today's season opening game against the BA Spirit was a good win for the BC. The match was a great show of teamwork and control as the BC defeated the Spirit 10-0.
Taylor McCorkle led the team with 4 goals, followed by Abby Saizow, Lindsey Hurtle, Natalie Paige, and Brittney Totty. As always defense was the name of the game with the BC. With the BC's regular sweeper Ashlynn Betts being out on an injury, Tori Howard and Natalie Paige did a great job holding the defense together. Keepers Nikki Castic and Abby Saizow held the Spirit off to take home the shut out.
The BC look forward to next weeks game against the BA Express.

The BC continued their undefeated season with a 11-0 win against the MTSC Chaos. The game started out a little rocky with several blocked shots on goal by opposing keeper Paige Betts. The BC eventually took control and displayed great teamwork to take home the "V".
This game is the halfway mark for the season. This gives the team a 4-0 record heading into the second half. Next week the girls take on the BA Spirit at home.

The Blue Crush has stretched their winning streak out one more week with this weekend's win over the BA Spirit. The team has worked very hard to accomplish their 5-0 record and are on pace to take home a fifth league championship in a row.
Next week the girls will play BA Express. Come out and support BC Soccer Saturday at the MTSC fields at 9:00.

This weekend's game was a battle for the ball for the Blue Crush. The BA Express came out physical from the start, which set the pace for the entire game. Several fouls were called and the girls all played with a lot of heart. About 15 minutes into the first half, the BC started taking control and went into the half with the lead. The Express came out strong at the beginning of the second half to close the gap, making the score 4-3 in BC's favor. Thereafter, it was all Blue Crush! They did what they do best, and that is pulled together and played through 'till the end. It was a great show of determination and teamwork that prevailed in the end.

The Blue Crush took on the BA Dragons in their first night game of the season. The opponents were probably the best team the team has faced. The girls battled it out for the first 10 minutes of the game with no score. Finally, a well placed ball from defender Kylie Ray put the forwards in a race with the Dragons keeper. Taylor McCorkle just barely beat the goalie to the ball to have a beautiful header to score. The team had so much energy and you could see it on the field. It was a fun, exciting game that ended witht the BC taking home the 6-0 win.

This weekends victory over the MTSC Liberty helped the BC secure their 5th league championship in a row. Although, with three players out and only one sub, the team did not show their best soccer. They started off flat and were only able to score one goal in the first half of play. The second half was another story. The girls did what needed to be done and took control of the game. They quickly scored a second goal, but Liberty answered back when the defense had a breakdown. From there on, the BC dominated the game and took home the 5-1 win.
Next week the girls take on the BA Dragons. We want to especially welcome back Ashlynn Betts, who has been out with an injury. This will be her first on field action of the season.

The Blue Crush had a tough battle in front of them this weekend as they faced the BA Dragons. With three key players missing due to other obligations, two others playing with illnesses, and one returning from a broken leg, this left the team with nine healthy players. At one point, it was those nine that had to carry the game, while the others had to sit out and rest. The game was as tough as it gets. Shannon Sullenger, who is the youngest player on the team, was suffering from walking pneumonia. But, she didn't let that slow her up when she got on the field. She played her heart out and took some hard hits while battling for the ball. Lindsay Shehan, another young player, continued to win the ball to help the team gain advantage. The BC had several chances to score, but the Dragons continued to play tough defense. The score was 0-0 going into the half.
The second half was similar to the first. Ashlynn Betts, who was returning from surgery for a broken leg, was forced to play in the goal due to her limited running. Having never played keeper, she was very nervous. After a hand ball in the box was called, she did a fantastic job blocking the penalty kick!! Finally, the Blue Crush landed a goal with a great header from Taylor McCorkle. This would be the only goal the team could come away with, securing the win.

The Blue Crush finished out the fall season with a perfect 10-0 record, thus winning the league championship for the fifth straight year!! This season saw a lot of change for the BC. They saw one of their starters sit out nearly the entire season. They played short handed in more games than ever before. They learned new positions to help the team adapt. Through all these challenges, they overcame and brought home the win game after game.
The girls accomplished a team record by scoring a total of 65 goals, giving up only 5 and having 7 shutouts.

The last game of the season proved that the Blue Crush are winners all around. The girls came out with a great attitude and defeated the Total Chaos 5-0. Both teams played well and had a good time doing so. Congratulations to both teams for a great season.

The BC won the BASC Fall Tournament this past weekend with a record of 5-1. The team was plagued with injuries, but the girls fought through to the end.
The team's first pool opponent was the Union Orange Crush. Although the team was missing some key players, they managed to pull off a great 6-2 victory. Their next opponent would not be as easy. The BC and the NOKC Chaos had met before in last springs State Tournament in Norman. They were a tough opponent then, and even tougher now. The BC never gave up and defeated the Chaos 3-1. This win put the BC as top seed in their pool. The team would only need to score one goal, win or lose, to advance first seed from their pool. With this information, along with the fact that the team could potentially play four games in a row, Coach Totty made a game plan. In Sunday morning's cold game against the Coweta Fireballs, the BC scored the first goal about half way into the first half. At that point, he knew they had accomplished what was needed. He then sat down his injured players and began a continual rotation through the line up to keep everyone as fresh as possible. Coweta would go on to win the game 2-1, but the tournament was far from over.
The BC faced the BA Express in the quarter finals, winning 3-0. The semi-final game was against ESC Challengers. The two teams fought hard and the signs of fatigue were setting in on both sides of the field. The Blue Crush was able to score the only goal of the game, sending them to the championship game.
The girls would again face the Coweta Fireballs, in their fourth game of the day. The BC came out strong and scored within the first ten minutes of the game. There after, they took several shots, but Coweta's keeper was able to block them all. Finally in the second half, BC scored a second goal to bring the score to 2-0. Coweta took limited shots on goal, but the BC keeper was able to make the saves needed to win the game and the tournament.
CONGRATULATIONS BLUE CRUSH!!! You have made us proud!!!
