REMEMBER REILLY

The 2005 season has been dedicated to the memory of Coach Reilly Richey.

REILLY RICHEY
Reilly Richey served as defensive coordinator, then Head Coach for the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears in Juneau, Alaska, from 1990 - 2005. As head coach, he received Conference and State Coach of the Year honors in 1999 and 2001. With a soft voice, humor and humility, he was able to inspire players to be greater than they thought they ever could be. He was diagnosed with chronic Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in 1989 and received a tainted blood transfusion during treatment and contracted Hepatitis C. In March of 2005, was promoted to glory. He is survived by his wife, Kathi Yanamura and son, Naash Richey.
