End of Season Party: Coach Scott has had a tradition the last few years with my teams. What we will be doing is attending a Frederick Keys game as a team. The Frederick Keys have a program designed for Little Leaguers…it’s called Anthem Buddies and here is a link to that part of their website: http://www.milb.com/content/page.jsp?ymd=20100219&content_id=8096530&sid=t493&vkey=team2 In a nutshell, it is $16 per child and each child will get the following:
1. A voucher for a hot dog, chips, and drink
2. Fun Zone Tickets (5 per child) – this is a family area where there are games, etc. available
3. Field Level Seat
4. Announcement of the Team on PA system
5. Message Center Recognition (Scoreboard)
6. A Frederick Keys logo baseball (which Keys players will autograph before the game)
7. ….and now the kicker….each player will run onto the field with a Frederick Keys player and line up with them for the National Anthem.
Each other participant (parent, sibling, grandparent, etc.) would cost $11 each. I personally think the kids would love this and it’s a great way to end the season with a strong connection to the game. That being said, I also know that everyone of us will make a significant contribution of our time and money to the league this year for practices, and games as well as dues and fundraising. So with that said, if anyone has concerns, let me know. I did this the last 4 years with my team and I can tell you that it was a great time.
The date for this is Sunday, May 26 at 6PM. This is Memorial Day weekend, so no school on Monday the 27th.

Did You Know?
The Ironbirds are a Short Season, Class A Minor League affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, and play in the New York-Penn League. They are based in Aberdeen, Maryland. The team is owned by Orioles Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr. (thus the number 8 on the tail of the plane in the team's logo).
