Jonesboro Baseball Boosters: Welcome

JONESBORO_BASEBALL1 small.jpg

Proudly serving youth baseball players across Northeast Arkansas

Tuesday  5/24/16   4:00 pm -  It's here.....  Had over 0.80 inches of rain in the last 30 minutes at the park and more coming. No games will be played for Tuesday.

City Stars soccer is playing this week. Plan to arrive a little earlier than usual as they are taking soccer admission on the road so traffic may be congested especially for the 6:00 games.

Tell them you are with baseball so you don't pay twice.

At this time of year end-of-school functions and summer activities ramp up. If your child will miss a game please communicate with your coach ahead of time so they will know how many players will be available. A team must have at least eight (8) players to play and we don't want folks to travel out to JMC if there will not be a game.

Please read the following information regarding our new WeatherBug weather station

JBB and the Parks & Rec department, with funding from the Jonesboro Advertising & Promotion Commission, have completed the installation of a WeatherBug weather station. The most important feature of this station is a lightning detection system. If there is a lightning strike inside a ten (10) mile radius of Joe Mack you will hear a fifteen (15) second warning horn. All players, coaches and umpires MUST leave the field of play. Once that warning sounds, we will be in a MANDATORY thirty (30) minute weather delay. If there are additional strikes in the area, the 30 minute delay will reset after each strike. When there have been no strikes in the area for thirty (30) minutes, the system will give the all clear signal - a series of three (3) five second horns. The time of the warning and when the all clear time would occur will help us determine if we will be able to continue our games. The safety of everyone at the park is our number one priority and the reason this system was installed. Please help us spread the word about this new safety system so everyone will know what our procedures will be.

We follow the Jonesboro Parks & Recreation Guidelines which include the following:

THE ENTIRE JOE MACK CAMPBELL PARK IS A SMOKE FREE FACILITY. NO DOGS, SKATEBOARDS, SCOOTERS, OR BICYCLES ALLOWED IN THE BALL PARK FOR EVERYONE'S SAFETY.

Thanks for helping us keep Joe Mack Campbell Park the top baseball facility in Northeast Arkansas.
