Jackson Southwest Little League is proud to be the Host of the Major Baseball State Tournament for 2009.   We will be having sixteen (16) teams from the State of Michigan at our complex near the Cascades Falls.

We are also looking for volunteers who would like to help scorekeep, announce, sell t-shirts, etc. for our tournament.   Anyone interested in helping out can call Pam Bildner at 517-782-7439 or 517-605-5285.   The Tournament will run from July 25th until August 2nd.  We will have approximately 45 games at our complex.

We are hosting District Tournaments for Major Softball and Major Baseball from Julu 9th until approximately July 18th also anyone interested in helping for the Districts please call Pam Bildner also or e-mail at pamstinytunes@sbcglobal.net.

We have now assigned teams for all divisions.  We apologize for any delays in getting to you.  Coach Pitch Division Coaches just received their rosters and will be giving calls to all players by Friday May 1st.  If your childs coach has not contacted you yet please contact us immediately. Online registration is no longer available.  All players who now registrer (except for Jr./ Sr. Baseball & Softball)  will be put on a waiting list to see if any space is available. REMINDER - Try outs for the Boys Minor and Major Leagues will be held on Wed. March 18th for those whose last name begin with A - L and on Thursday March 19th for those whose last name begins M - Z.  Both dates will be held at the Middle School at Parkside Gymnasium (located at 2400 4th St. Jackson, MI 49203 ) and will be from 7pm - 8pm.  All Minor league boys and first year Major league boys will have to go through the try out process.  If you played in the Major league last year with Jackson Southwest Little League, you do not have to attend try outs.   All players will be drafted onto a team.  Players will be contacted by their coach no later than April 15th, 2009. * Please note :  This tryout will only assess the throwing and fielding skills of the players.  NO BATS OR CLEATS ALLOWED!

Girls Minors and Majors Leagues will be contacted by  their coaches with more information on their season no later than April 15th, 2009.

Coach Pitch Division players will be contacted by their coach no later than April 15th, 2009.

Practices for all divisions will begin in April after you have been contacted by your coach.  Practice days and times are held on the same days of the week that games are normally held on, however it is the coaches discretion as to practice dates and times. 

Regular season games will the week of May 4th, 2009.  Games on played on the following nights beginning at 6pm.

Boys Majors / Girls Majors / Coach Pitch :  Mondays and Wednesday

Boys Minors / Girls Minors :  Tuesdays and Thursdays

Boys Jrs / Girls Jrs - Games days TBA.

Hello everyone!  We would like to welcome back all of the players, friends, and family of Jackson Southwest Little League.  It's the start of a new year and that means we are gearing up for the 2009 season.  You may registrer your child / children any one of following ways:

1.Our online registrations wil begin on February 1st, 2009 via the link on this website. 

2. Registrations in person will be held at MC Sporting Goods located in the Jackson Crossing Mall

February 28th 10am to 6pm

March 1st 12pm to 4pm

 March 7th  10am to 6pm

 and March 8th 12pm to 4pm

or

3. Print out the mail-in form located under the handouts section on this website and following the instructions on the form.

 * Payment is due at the time of registration.  Registration Deadline is March 17th 2009.  Registrations received after March 17th, 2009 will be subject to space availability and a $10.00 late fee.

Eligibilty in any offical Little League is based to on residency and age.  To be eligible for Jackson Southwest Little League:

1.  The player must reside within the boundaries of JSWLL.  Our boundary to the south is Kimmel Rd and north to Michigan  Ave.  Our eastern boundary extends to S. Jackson St and contains portions of Francis St and Browns Lake Rd.  Our western boundary extends to roughly M60 & Reynolds Rd and contains portions of McCain Rd and Reynolds Rd. 

2.  League age is determined by the age of the child on:

     For girls - date of birth as of December 31, 2008

     For boys - date of birth as of April 30, 2009
