Toshi Yoshida Camp
Toshi Yoshida is the former coach of the USA's National (Olympic) Women's Team.
Jammers Courtney Lelepali, Pihana
Kea, Kristin Keeno, Skyler Kamaka and Lesli Akeo attended Toshi's 6 day intense training camp at Pomona University in California.
Camp started off with 30 setters, then 10 hitters added on, and other 10 passers/liberos. Girls ranged from ages 14 to 18 and various skill levels. It was awesome just being in the presence of Coach Toshi, having him share his knowledge, tips and skills. Coach Toshi was very
impressed with the technique and skill level of the Jammers - he knew right away that they were trained under Coach Deb.
Jammers were always chosen to demonstrate the drills and Coach Erica, who assisted from Vanguard University, could not believe our girls were only 14. She was ready to sign up every one to play for her team.
It was very hot - averaged 96 to 98 degrees and the gym had no air conditiong. Girls had to walk 6 miles every day from the
dorms/cafeteria/gym. Overall, it was a good camp and our girls represented Jammers very well - other parents there knew of our club
and very impressed with our girls. Coach Toshi is hoping to bring his camp to Hawaii.

They are all hoping to meet Kerri Walsh and Misty May on Saturday when Jammers will be shagging balls for the King of the Beach tournament at Queen's Beach.

Jammers Chill Out
The Jammers had an all club, all day picnic on March 26, 2003, at Fort DeRussy on the beach at Waikiki. We pigged out on ono-licious food all day, swam, played volleyball on the sand, competed in relays, scavenger hunts in a bucket of sand, a cheerleading contest and just generally had good fun!
