Welcome
It is the mission of Jackson Youth Hockey to provide a meaningful opportunity for children to experience the great game of hockey and to develop their skating skills and hockey skills to the best of their ability while instilling leadership. Jackson Youth Hockey (JYH) provides equal participation opportunity in its programs to all children without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, and citizenship. JYH makes reasonable accommodation to meet the needs of all youth skaters. Jackson Youth hockey is a member of Wyoming Amateur Hockey Association (WAHA). WAHA is the governing body for youth and adult amateur hockey in Wyoming. Members associations include Casper, Cheyenne, Cody (Park County), Douglas, Gillette, Jackson, Laramie, Pinedale, Riverton, Rock Springs, and Sheridan. WAHA is a member of USA Hockey (www.usahockey.com) which is headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO. Updates for JYH Registration
JYH members - we are updating our registration process for the coming season. Please watch for news from your team managers in mid July to let you know when registration for the 09-10 season will open. Registration will run through September 30, 2009. We will move into late registration with a fee increase on October 1. Please let your friends who want to join you this season know how they can register too!
Team Managers
Our Team Managers handle both in-town and travel scheduling for their team. Contact them with any of your tournament scheduling questions. If you need information not provided here, our Team Managers will be happy to help. Friday, December 12
Parent Education
Dear JYH Members, It is that time of year when our youngsters start putting their hockey skills to the test and start competing against other hockey associations throughout the region. With that comes a knowledge and understanding of the game of hockey. I encourage all parents to attend the parent education seminar to be held at the Lodge Room located in the Snow King Ice Arena WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 17th at 6:00pm to 6:30pm. This year we have over 70 mites and 30 squirts!! A majority of you are extremely new to the sport of hockey and I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE all of our parents new and old to the program to attend the parent education seminar. There will be many issues and topics that will be covered in the seminar. A lot of this information will be a great benefit to all of you as we hit the road and start traveling with our teams. This information will help you understand not only the game of hockey but also present state of our program. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!! Hope to see you all there!!

Cookie Dough Fundraiser for JYH
JYH skaters will once again be selling cookie dough and cheesecakes to help raise money for our program. There are 9 types of cookie dough (remember how good those chocolate chip cookies were) and 7 different cheesecakes. More information will be heading your way soon. |
