It is the mission of Jackson Youth Hockey to provide a meaningful opportunity for children to experience the great game of hockey and to develop their skating skills and hockey skills to the best of their ability while instilling leadership. Jackson Youth Hockey (JYH) provides equal participation opportunity in its programs to all children without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, and citizenship. JYH makes reasonable accommodation to meet the needs of all youth skaters. Jackson Youth hockey is a member of Wyoming Amateur Hockey Association (WAHA). WAHA is the governing body for youth and adult amateur hockey in Wyoming. Members associations include Casper, Cheyenne, Cody (Park County), Douglas, Gillette, Jackson, Laramie, Pinedale, Riverton, Rock Springs, and Sheridan. WAHA is a member of USA Hockey (www.usahockey.com) which is headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO. All JYH players are encouraged to wear your jersey to school on Wed September 10! And again on Friday September 19..... We are continuing to register old and new players through our online registration at www.jyhockey.org. Please wear your jersey and show your support of youth HOCKEY.... Friday, September 5 Old Bill's Fun Run 12 is September 13, 2008 Old Bill's Fun Run, is just around the corner. OBFR is hosted by the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole. It will be on Saturday, September 13, 2008. Please wear your jersey and join your hockey friends to walk on that morning. Donations can be made now through 5 p.m. September 19th. You may donate online at www.oldbills.org. Jackson Youth Hockey is once again a participant. This is a great fundraising opportunity for JYH as your donation receives a partial match through the Sponsor program. THANK YOU FOR REMEMBERING JYH IN YOUR GIVING!

Monday, September 1 Registration for 08-09 Hockey Season NOW Open !! Registration for the 08-09 season is now open. A late fee ($50) will be assessed for all registrations October 1, 2008 and after. You will "sign" some forms online. Your team manager will also ask you to sign forms (Medical and Code of Conduct) again at the beginning of the season as an actual signature is required for the team manager's credentials notebooks. ALL JYH skaters MUST register online with USAH in order to participate with JYH. USA Hockey provides you with insurance through the hockey season. You will need your USA Hockey number in order to complete the online registration. Ice schedules will be available in the fall.
Saturday, September 6 JYH will once again sponsor a skate swap and morning of registration on Saturday September 20 at the Snow King Center. Drop off of equipment for the swap will be Friday evening. Please bring your equipment that is "clean", in good condition and can be used by another. More details will be available soon on the website.
Wednesday, July 23 New updates and information Please take a look at the Handouts/Forms section of your JYH website. You will find the forms that must be signed and turned in to your team manager prior to stepping out on the ice in the fall. These forms may be signed now and mailed to JYH at POB 4733, Jackson, 83001. Team Managers will also have the forms available at the first ice sessions. These forms are the Snow King Agreement, and USA Hockey's Code of Conduct, Consent to Treat and Waiver. All other registration is completed online after you complete the USAH online registration. Also availabe is a document from USAH on the benefits available with your membership and the Claim form for the USAH Insurance. The 08-09 Age chart is also in this section of your website. Thursday, September 4 JYH Board Meetings JYH Board of Directors Meetings are held on the second and fourth Mondays of the month. Members of JYH are welcome to contact President Steve Schultz one week prior to board meetings if you would like to address the Board. Upcoming meetings are Monday September 8th and 22nd at 5:30 pm. The meetings will be at the Center for the Arts unless other wise posted. Sunday, October 21 JYH Hockey Director Justin Martin, JYH Hockey Director. "Born and raised in Hutchinson, MN a small town an hour west of the Twin Cities. Enjoyed 4 years of high school hockey in Minnesota and played in two state tournament. After high school attended Minnesota State University, Mankato and earned an undergraduate degree in Sports Management in 2002. While acquiring his undergraduate degree was blessed with the opportunity to play 4 years of Division 1 hockey in the WCHA. After college he had a brief stint of playing professional hockey in Winston, NC in 2003. In December of 2003 moved to Jackson to play with the Moose and after the 2003-2004 season moved back to MN and immediately began working towards his Master’s Degree in Sports Administration. During his graduate course work 2004-2006 served as the graduate assistant for both the men’s and women’s hockey programs at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Last season Justin was an assistant hockey coach for the boy’s varsity team in his hometown of Hutchinson, MN. Outside of the rink Justin enjoys hunting, fishing, and competing in field trials with his dogs."
