Our future is unknown.

Presently we are seeking a new administration.

Robert Fillmore, who is our founding President, has resigned due to health problems. Health problems which includes heart problems, kidney failure, diabetic eye disease, gastroparesis, and high blood pressure.

Owned and operated by Jackson Sports & Entertainment, the Jackson Tidal Wave are a new semi-professional basketball franchise and members of the Great Lakes Basketball Association. Plans tentatively call for the Jackson Tidal Wave to begin play in 2008-2009 at the soonest.

Owned and operated by Jackson Sports & Entertainment, the Jackson Lightning are a new semi-professional soccer franchise and members of the Tri-State Soccer League. Plans tentatively call for the Jackson Lightning to begin play in 2009 at the soonest.

MICHIGAN JAYHAWKS semi-pro football
Michigan Jayhawks
Presently it is being considered to pursue formation of a NEW semi-professional football organization. The soonest a team would kick-off is most likely 2009 and most likely the organization would play as an independant at least the first year. The name would most likely be the Michigan Jayhawks.

As a part of our committment to make games more than just a game, but an event as well as our committment to be involved in the community all of our teams will have a cheerleading squad.

Jackson Sports & Entertainment is also interested in promoting additional low cost, family oriented, entertainment aside from our sports interests.

Such entertainment could be wrestling shows, community concets, etc..


HURRICANE KATRINA RELIEF

In the wake of Hurrican Katrina, as President of the Jackson Sports & Entertainment, I (Robert Fillmore) would like to encourage you to donate the the Lions Clubs International Foundation. The LCIF is part of the world's largest service organization, Lions Clubs International. I am a member of the Michigan Center Lions Club and know first hand what Lions Clubs do. Donations to LCIF will be utilized by the local Lions Clubs effectively and efficiently. Further, as long as you state Hurricane Katrina in the memo line the donation MUST go to relief efforts in accordance to federal laws. I would like to encourage everybody to donate to the Lions Clubs International Foundation, part of the largest service organization (the Lions Club).  For more information click on the LCIF logo.
