Maryland Monarchs Win 2009 NABF Senior World Series!!!!!!
Congratulations to Manager Tom Keating and the Maryland Monarchs for winning the 2009 NABF Senior Division World Series played in Jackson, Mississippi. The Monarchs defeated the Jackson 96ers Blue Team 12-5 to capture the championship. Both the Monarchs and the 96ers Blue finished the World Series with identical 5-2 records, but it was the Monarchs who won the second meeting between the team clubs to win it all. The 96ers had defeated the Monarchs 4-3 during pool play to win the pool. The Monarchs ended up 2-2 in pool play and a wild card team in the single elimination championship bracket. The Monarchs would win two straight games, defeating the St. Louis Tigers (9-1) and the New York Nine (6-4) to reach the championship game. The 96ers Blue would defeat the Norwood Blues (13-4) and the 96ers White (7-3) to reach the championship game. Both teams would come in with high expectations in the championship game. This would mark the Jackson 96ers third appearance in the championship game in six years. This would be the Monarchs first appearance in the championship game. Sunday, August 9

2006 NABF Senior Division National Champions!!!!
Congratulations to the Jackson 96ers Blue Team for defeating the Bayside Yankees in the 2006 NABF Senior Division World Series Championship Game 5-4 in 9 innings!!! This is the third Senior Division National Championship for the Jackson 96ers (1994 & 1996). The Jackson 96ers Blue finished the season with a 41-13 record. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
