Inter-Mountain Youth Soccer League: Fall 2009 Divisions
U-6(Ages 4-5): This recreation program is for beginning soccer players or kids who want an introduction to soccer. The focus is on having fun and teaching the fundamental skills of soccer. It is a non-competitive program: meaning, we do not keep scores or standing.
- Teams practice 1-2 times per week
- Teams play an eight-week season with 1 game per week. Games are held on the weekends at the location on the schedule.
- Teams are formed considering are of residence and player age
- All teams are co-ed
- Each player will need shin guards
U8
U-8(Ages 6-7): This recreation program is for beginning soccer players or kids who want an introduction to soccer. The focus is on having fun and teaching the fundamental skills of soccer. It is a non-competitive program; meaning, we do not keep scores or standing.

- Teams are formed considering area of residence and player age.
- All teams are co-ed.

U10
U-10(Ages 8-9): This recreation program is for the players that want to play soccer without the pressure of winning. The focus is on teaching fundamental skills and key concepts of soccer. It is a non-competitive program; we do not keep score or standings.
- Teams practice 1-2 times per week
- Teams play an eight week season, with 1 game per week. Games are held on weekends at the location on the playing schedule.
- All teams are co-ed.
- Each player will need shin guards.
U12
U-12 (Ages 10-11): Though recreational in nature, we begin to add elements of competition. We keep scores and standings. This age group will play as "in-house teams."
- Teams practice 1-2 per week
- Teams play an eight-week season, with 1 game per week. Games are held on weekends at the location on the playing schedule.
- Teams are formed considering area of residence and player age.
- All teams are co-ed
- With Board approval, they could be a traveling team. Traveling team's games are scheduled throughout District IX by the Walt Zinko Playing League President, and are usually on Saturdays.
- Each player will need shin guards.
U-14
U-14 (Ages 12-13): Though recreational in nature, this age group continues to have elements of competition, such as keeping scores and standings. If there are enough player to fill 3 or more teams, this age division will play " in-house." If there are not enough teams to play " in-house," then U-14 teams will be entered into the Walt Zinko Playing League and will be a considered a "traveling" team. A minimum of 14 players must be registered for a team.
- "In-house" - " traveling" teams practice 1 to 2 times per week.
- Teams play an eight-week season, with 1 game per week.
- Traveling team's games are scheduled throughout District IX by the Walt Zinko Playing League, and are usually on Saturdays.
- Each player will need shin guards.
