Impact Volleyball Academy: IVA/AaWamb Beach
IVA / AaWamb Beach Partnership
The Greater Polk County area holds some of the most valuable youth sports programs in Florida. On September 6th, Impact Volleyball Academy (a non-profit organization) and AaWamb Volleyball decided to partner to become Polk County's All Inclusive Volleyball Training Program. As part of the partnership, IVA will become the indoor training program while AaWamb Beach will specialize in sand volleyball. With a coaching staff that now includes 89+ years of collective coaching experience, with both indoor and outdoor training capability, IVA /AaWamb Beach stands to become one of the most elite volleyball programs in the area.

The IVA and AaWamb Board of Directors consist of 3 Polk County natives and 5 additional Polk County school graduates that have a true desire to invest in our home community and youth. We're implementing new administrative organization and new programs to provide you with optimized training within a positive volleyball experience. We've also added service projects into our program, to train our players about the importance of giving back to our community.

With the majority of our Board and Staff growing up in Polk County, we have a genuine desire to build the same quality sports programs that we participated in as youth, or even better; building an elite volleyball program is not just a business for IVA/AaWamb Beach, IT’S OUR CALLING!!

Our collective coaching pool includes a vast amount of coaching experience.
Our indoor volleyball staff will include:
· AaWamb Beach Director and indoor 17-18s IVA Coach - Tim Edfors (25+ years coaching exp, 7 year club director/coach, 5 year high school coach, 7 years Head NAIA Indoor coach and 4 year head sand college coach at Webber International University, 2 years asst. coach at the Junior College level plus 30 + years of playing experience in both beach and indoor. (AVP Beach Coach 2012) “Edfors prides himself in getting girls scholarships at the collegiate level”
· IVA Coaching Director Larry Perez - 18 yrs coaching exp, Div III College Coach 1995-1998 - Illinois Wesleyan University, Great Lakes HP Head Coach 2005, 6 yrs Club Director – Illinois Juniors
· Ron Moccia - 19 yrs coaching experience, 6 yrs club director – MAYAC Volleyball Club
· Derrick Bennett - 7 yrs coaching experience, Sports Training major and Collegiate Volleyball Player - Warner Southern University
· Teri Messner - 9 yrs coaching experience, 5 yr club director - IVA
· Becca Beall - 9 yrs coaching experience, Div 1 scholarship player 2000-2004 - Nicholls State College
· Alex Barnard - 4 yrs coaching experience, 4 yr Div II scholarship player - Davis and Elkins College
· Tianna Drury - 2 yr coaching experience, 4 yr scholarship player - Warner Southern University
· Kimberlee Thomas - 1 yr coaching experience, 4 yr scholarship player - Warner Southern University
· Jerica Detsch - 4 years of coaching experience, Current WHHS Asst. Varsity Coach, 4 year Div III scholarship player.

Our sand volleyball staff will include:
· Tim Edfors - 25+ years coaching exp, 7 year club director/coach, 5 years high school coach 7 years Head NAIA Indoor coach and four years head Sand College Coach - Webber International University, 2 years asst. coach at the Junior College level) 30 years of playing experience in both beach and indoor. · Piotr Marciniak: Professional beach player from Poland, and 2012 United States AVP Player
Karolina Sowala: Professional beach player from Poland, played on highest beach league, FIVB
· Igor Vengerovsky: Professional player from Russia, played on 2nd highest team for country
· Chantelle Jordan: Professional from Cocoa Beach who plays at the open level

Webber’s beach team was ranked 2nd in the Southeastern conference losing only to FSC in the 2012 Fiesta on Siesta tournament where over 25 top teams participated.

Both clubs have a sincere desire to help build the skills and scholarship opportunities of our area girls. It is only through our cooperation that we can ultimately help our players achieve their goals. We are very excited about the two clubs working together, and look forward to the opportunity to get started this upcoming season.
