PARKING is going to be a problem....
As many of you have already noticed, we are having a huge parking issue at the front of the complex. (Most of the parking has been taken away from us.)

If you have games on fields 1, 2, 3 or 4 you have (3) choices:
1. You are lucky enough to get one of the few spaces in the front.
2. You park in the back by Field 5.
3. There is a big parking lot just beyond Field 3 by the traffic circle.

- We DO NOT suggest you park behind field 4 or on the hill. We have been told by the Town that “No Parking” signs are going up and cars will be ticketed.
- DO NOT park in the Handicap spots without a visible handicap permit because you will also be ticketed.
- DO NOT double park and block in another car.
- DO NOT block any Entrance/Exit areas.
- Remember to lock your car. As always, parking is at your own risk.
- Lastly, and most importantly……slow your speed down on Wheeler Road. Between the Little League and Soccer Fields there are small children everywhere!

CONCESSION STAND
By now everyone should have been given a team schedule by the Manager.
(If you haven’t, contact him asap)
On that schedule there are date(s) your team is responsible for helping in the Concession Stand.
However your team wants to work it out, we need (2) adults to help starting at 6pm.
It can be (2) adults from 6 pm-till your team’s game ends or shifts of (2) adults being replaced by (2) adults ½ hr later.

UMPIRES
All persons responsible for a team, and all the spectators, shall support the umpires. Errors by umpires are never an excuse for bad behavior on the part of managers, coaches, players, or spectators. They are part of the game, so plan to control yourself and your child/player's behavior. Anger, threats, and other abusive behavior will not be tolerated. The umpires in this league are generally young people, just a few years older than the players. They are learning the craft of umpiring just as the players are learning to play. Please treat them as you would want your son/daughter treated if he/she were umpiring.

KEEP AN EYE ON THE WEATHER!
If the weather is not looking good, please check the website before leaving the house.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED FOR 2019 SEASON

The Little League of the Islip is looking for Volunteers.

There are several ways you can help keep this organization and complex at its best. For the new season we are looking to add staff to our Ladies Auxiliary, Complex Maintenance Group and we are always in need of coaches. (Remember, unlike other towns, the volunteers at Islip Little League maintain the entire facility and its events all year round)

Our regular season is approximately 8 weeks long. Even if you can only volunteer for an hour or two a week it is greatly appreciated. If interested, please email: CLUBHOUSE@IslipLL.org

Volunteering is an excellent way to help our local children, see how our league runs and to help the future of this great organization, The Little League of the Islips.
