On September 26, 2009 the Houston Astros made an official announcement at a pregame presentation.&nbsp;&nbsp;Both Island Little League and West-Isle's ball fields have been selected to be refurbished by the Grand Slam for Youth Baseball program.&nbsp; Because of this once in a lifetime opportunity,&nbsp;Fall Ball had to be canceled this year.&nbsp; However both Galveston Little Leagues will be back and more beautiful and safer than ever with a new makeover.&nbsp; For more info on the program and what they have done for other leagues in the past, please visit <a href="http://www.gsfyb.com/">www.gsfyb.com</a>&nbsp;.&nbsp; They also do much more for individuals and the children of the Houston area.&nbsp; See you in the spring, and we will be sending out info on registration for the spring season at the begining of the year.&nbsp;
