On behalf of the Carolina Islanders, welcome to Junior Olympic volleyball.
I hope that you find that Carolina Islanders Volleyball Club will be the right place for you. I can assure you that I will work hard so that each player will have a good experience with club volleyball. My goal has always been to provide an atmosphere that gives positive instruction with competive play for our players to improve the quality of volleyball in the Charleston area.
Keeping the cost down so that more girls can participate will continue to be a priority as well as providing the best coaches. We are approaching our sixth year of operating in the Charleston area. Our up and coming season will be starting soon with tryouts for 12's, 13's and 14's on October 19th & 26th and November 9th and 16th for 15's, 16's, 17's & 18's.
If you plan on participating in tryouts, first make sure you register with PVA at http://www.palmettovb.com/registration/Registration.asp, and then it is imperative that you email me your application confirmation at pjcenkner@msn.com ASAP; so your name can be placed on the tryout list. When registering, you will not pay any money up front, this fee is included in your tryout fee of $50. After receipt of your confirmation, then your name will be placed on a tryout list in your age group. After October 10th, the tryout fee will be $75 if I have not received your application confirmation in email. So, please don't wait until the last minute to register.

Carolina Girls
PRACTICE PLAYERS 13, 14, & 15's $250 Will practice with an assigned team of skill level. Practice option is for those players who do not make a team, but would like to continue to improve their volleyball skills. Some players who work hard have been moved to a team and some even get placed on a team if someone gets hurt or quits. Practice players could even get asked to fill in if a team is low on players for a specific tournament. Practice players will practice at least once a week with their assigned team and will have the option to attend all open gym practices with their age group or skill level. A Carolina Islander's T-shirt jersey will be given to each player. Practices will end the last Sunday in March.
PAYMENT PLAN 1st payment - $150.00 due at first practice
2nd payment - $100.00 due January 6th
12 & UNDER TRAVELING TEAM $450 Will participate in 3-5 tournaments, including the 3 day Palmetto Regional Championship in Charlotte, NC. Team practices will most likely be on Sundays and one open gym practice with teams of appropriate skill level during the week will be offered. A Carolina Islander's T-shirt jersey will be given to each player and a adidas uniform will be provided for use, but must be returned at the end of the season. Adidas black spandex must be worn with uniform and they can be purchased for $20. Season ends April 5th.

REGIONAL 13's, 14's, 15's, 16's, 17's & 18's $650 Will participate in 6 -7 tournaments, including the 3 day Palmetto Regional Championship in Charlotte, NC. A Carolina Islander's T-shirt jersey will be given to each player and a adidas uniform will be provided for use, but must be returned at the end of the season. Black adidas spandex must be worn with uniform and can be purchased for $20. Season ends April 5th.
PAYMENT PLAN 1st payment - $350.00 due at first practice 2nd payment - $200.00.00 due January 4th
3rd payment - $100.00 due February 1st
NATIONAL TEAMS 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, AND 18'S $900
Will play in Peachtree, Big South Qualifier, and 2-day Southern Classic, 3-day Palmetto Regional Championship in Charlotte, NC., plus regular Palmetto region National tournaments available. If team qualifies for Nationals or would like to participate in AAU championships, then there will be an additional fee of $150.00 to cover coaching and gym use through June. A Carolina Islanders t-shirt will be given to each player. All National teams will purchase their own jerseys, 2 adicap sleeve jerseys for $50, one long sleeve spandex jersey for $40, black spandex for $20 . The idea is for players to keep their uniforms and use for 2 years. Season ends for teams not going to Nationals or participating in AAU Championships April 5th. Teams headed to Nationals or participating in AAU Championships will end mid June or beginning of July.
PAYMENT PLAN 1st payment - $400.00 due at first practice
2nd payment - $250.00 due January 4th
3rd payment - $250.00 due February 1st
$150.00 due April 6th for teams going to Nationals or AAU Championships
WHAT IS NOT COVERED IN THE ABOVE FEES
Travel, hotel expenses and food....we do not add to your fees for player hotel rooms, we let the players stay with their parents. Waste of money with the economy the way it is to charge for hotel rooms for the players when they can room with parents.

-The cost for warm-ups will be $120.00 for the set, $65 for the jacket and $55 for the pants, this includes all embroidery. Please note the picture below for details of our warm-ups.
-Carolina Islanders gym bags with embroidered name on back and number on side of bag. $35.00 -Nike Mystic Warm-up: (Pictured Below) DriFit, double knit french terry with white side panels designed to improve air circulation. Jacket with off centered front zipper and zipper pockets, embroidered Nike Swoosh trademark on upper right chest, embroidered Carolina Islanders logo on upper left chest, embroidered number on right sleeve, embroidered volleyball and first name or intials on the back of neck- line. Pants with zipper pockets and zipper on bottom of pant legs, embroidered Nike Swoosh trademark on upper left leg and embroidered number.
