HAZARDOUS WEATHER GUIDELINES
Spring season is one of the most challenging for keeping schedules on track due to weather related cancellations. This is the time of year when severe weather is a REAL and POWERFUL force that must not be taken lightly. OSYSA, MVYSA, and DASOA have strict guidelines that Referees, Coaches, and Players must adhere to. The most common guideline is this... if THUNDER is heard or LIGHTENING is seen the game is SUSPENDED until the match can be SAFELY restarted. So if the Referee or Coaches signal that hazardous weather has been observed, calmly and quickly leave the field of play and get into your cars and wait until your Coach gives you further instructions. Do not leave the parking area unless the Coach has given information to do so. To see the complete guidelines, click on the headline above or HANDOUTS below.

ISC TEAMS TO COMPETE IN XENIA MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT
Six of our Inferno SC teams are registered to compete in the 5th annual Xenia Tornado Memorial being held May 2 & 3. The "Tornado" is a fairly young tournament, but in its short 5 year existance has grown very competitive. ISC has had teams represented at the tournament since the first one in 2005. We have several teams both past & present who have been their division champions or runners up of the Tornado. Our current Flames 92 Black squad will be returning to defend their title from 2008 & our Fire 98 squad will return too looking to capture their first division title which narrowly escaped them in 2008.
Players & Families should be logging into their respective team pages for specific game schedules posting soon. Click on the logo to go to the Xenia Memorial Tournament website for complete tournament updates. Good luck to all of our Flames & Fires !

NEW REFEREES "L"EARNING THEIR STRIPES
DASOA and OSSRC have done a terrific job over the past 2 seasons in recruiting and training new referees. For several years there has been a serious shortage of referees to work games. Now that shortage is starting to turn into a surplus with both young and "not so" young faces nervously working the sidelines. Always remember, whether you're a Coach, Player, or Parent, that the referee working the game is someone's Dad or Mom, Brother or Sister, Son or Daughter and is working hard to earn your respect.
