For the end of February
A message from the coaches. COACH IMAD
We are very excited about our players' progress throughout our indoor winter
sessions. Our boys and girls teams are playing better
soccer individually, as well as, collectively.
Please note that our main emphasis has always been to help our teams achieve
tactical success primarily through proper execution of the basic soccer
skills. Each player must work on mastering the fundamentals if he or she is
to excel at the tactical( strategic) level. When a group of players maintain
ball possession (trapping the ball followed by several consecutive passes)
that will definitely give them tactical superiority over the opposing team.
For instance, a team capable of putting several passes together will have
the ability to choose their point of attack, or better yet, may choose to
change their point of attack if need be.
With all that said , We urge all of our Flame and Fire players to keep on
working on their ball control skills. Visit with the soccer ball daily.
Juggle it, dribble it, pass it, or just simply carry it around the yard. You will
see, later on when we start playing against other teams, our tactical
success is going to be determined simply by how long are we able to keep the
ball under control individually ,as well as, collectively as a team.
With all that said, we urge you as a player, please hold yourself
accountable every time the ball comes to you. Make good traps, isolate the
ball if you are pressured, make a good pass. Your ability to control the
ball is critical to your team's overall success.
Thanks for your hard work and dedication to the sport.
See you Saturday!
Coach Imad
