ORGANIZATION
Irvine Sting 16U is part of the Irvine Travel Softball Association. ITSA was founded over 16 years ago by Dr. Blair Ota, head coach of the 18U Gold team. Along with Coach Jim Knapp, he oversees training and operation of the Sting program which also includes a 12U, 14U, 16U and the 18u Gold team.
We are committed to each and every player for their long-term success in both softball and life. Our hope is that every player will continue to play softball within our program through 18 Gold and on into college.

We practice at Col. Bill Barber Park in Irvine, one of the premier softball complexes in California, with four lighted fields & four batting cages. In addition to the numerous college showcases held here, it was also the site of an exhibition game during the US Olympic Softball "Bound for Beijing" tour.
"It's not the time you spend at practice that counts; it's what you put into practice that makes the difference."
Eric Lindros
"Ability is what you’re capable of doing; Motivation determines what you do; Attitude determines how well you do it"
