With the victory, the Irish Blizzard improve to 5-1 on the season.
The Irish Blizzard offense saw touchdown passes of 10 yards and 28 yards from John Riccio to Rayshawn Link called back due to penalties on consecutive drives to open the game. As a result, the game remained scoreless into the second quarter. Ty Gamble put Clinton on the board just minutes into the second period taking a handoff and bursting 70 yards down to the Irish Blizzard 1 yardline. Gamble scored from 1 yard out on the next play giving Clinton a 7-0 second quarter lead.
The Irish Blizzard offense continued threaten but failed to put points on the board as Clinton would fumble on the Seminoles 4 yardline and another Riccio to Link touchdown was called back later in the half. With one final possession before the half, the Irish Blizzard two minute offense drove 55 yards in 1:05 with Riccio completing passes to Ernie Adams for 15 yards, Gamble for 9 yards, and finally Adams for 14 yards and a touchdown as part of a drive that gave Clinton a 13-0 lead heading into halftime.
The second half featured a ball control offense and more stifling defense for Clinton. The Irish Blizzard turned to running backs Gamble and Whitehead to grind out yards. The duo combined for 46 yards rushing on the opening possession of the second half. Gamble finished things off with a 4 yard TD run but also registered a key first down run on a 4th and 3 situation earlier in the drive. The Gamble touchdown extending the Irish Blizzard lead to 20-0. Whitehead answered one play into Clinton’s next drive as he took a Riccio handoff and motored 56 yards to paydirt widening the Irish Blizzard lead to 26-0 through three quarters of play.
Hyde Park finally broke through on the Clinton defense as a rushing touchdown narrowed Clinton’s lead to 26-8 with 7:19 remaining. The Clinton offense sealed the game with a 10 play, 58 yard drive that chewed up the final seven minutes of play. Relief quarterback Matt Parker hit Link with 10 yard TD pass putting an exclamation point on a 32-8 Irish Blizzard win.
The Irish Blizzard defense once again turned in a dominating performance as they limited Hyde Parked big play offense to 8 points. Jamie Cairns and Evan Berte led the front four as Cairns recorded two tackles for loss and Berte had a hand in two Irish Blizzard sacks. Alejandro Miranda and Mike McGonagle led the linebacking corps. Cornerbacks Chris Leblanc and Ronnie Guyton led the secondary with solid coverage and great run support.

Staake, Josue Diaz, and Matt Kronopolus each worked to create holes for an offense that totaled 253 rushing yards. Gamble (14 carries, 118 yards, 2 TDs) and Whitehead (15 carries, 127 yards, 1 TD) did the bulk of the work on the ground. Riccio finished 7 of 15 passing for 91 yards and one touchdown. Parker finished 3 of 3 for 17 yards and one TD in relief of Riccio. Adams led all receivers with 4 catches for 40 yards and one TD. Link added 3 catches for 29 yards and one TD.
