At the grand re-opening of the Fred Meyer Fuel Center, our League will be selling BBQ'd hot dogs, soda, and chips, with 100% of the proceeds going to the League.  Be sure to visit us to enjoy a dog, chips, and drink for $3 and to get 20 cents per gallon off gas with your FM rewards card.

We need volunteers to work the stand! At all times, we'd like at least one or two players, in uniform tops, and one or two adults. Please email if you are able to volunteer for one of the following time slots: Friday at 11-1, 1-3, and 3-5 and Saturday at 11-1, 1-3, and 3-5:30. We especially need help on Saturday at 1-3 and 3-5;30, but help during any time slot is welcome.

Special thanks to Fred Meyer and to coach Mike Laverdure for securing the Fred Meyer opportunity for the League!

Willamette Little League & Interstate-Kenton Merger

This year the Boards of Directors from the Willamette and Interstate-Kenton Little Leagues will be merging into a single Board and will also combine all divisions of play for the 2014 season. This season will be the the final step in the process of creating a single merged league in North Portland. The partnership has been an excellent one, as there is a lot of energy among the Board members. We are working hard to ensure that North Portland kids have a quality Little League available to them. Both leagues have always aimed to provide skills development, fair-play, sportsmanship, respectful competition, and community involvement. This league very much reflects our community. We are excited to see all of your familiar faces and some new ones soon!

Important Rule Change for 2014 Residency and School Attendance Eligibility

In an effort to accommodate for Little Leaguers to play with their classmates, and ease the burden on parents and guardians, Little League has amended its residency requirements to allow children to play in the local league whose boundaries where they attend school is located. To verify enrollment, parents will need to bring an official school document, such as a report card or school enrollment form, confirming enrollment in the school for the current academic year, dated before October 1, 2013. Read the full text of the new rule here.

Peninsula Little League News

We would like to extend a warm welcome to all of the Peninsula Little League families and players that will be joining us for 2014!
