Welcome, to the Interboro 18U Baseball Team homepage

Interboro 18U Baseball Team is a traveling ball club that was started in 1998. Players & Coaches came to us from the Brooklyn Bulldogs, Latin Souls, Youth Service, Brooklyn Cadets and Interboro Baseball Programs. For more on our team click on HISTORY located on the left hand side of the website.

We are very proud of all our players. Our goal is to teach them the fundamentals of baseball while having fun playing the game.

We believe that the purpose of any athletic program is to win. We should all strive to be better than the rest of the field in every aspect of baseball. However, we WILL earn our victories with honor. We WILL NOT sacrifice values and standards to win. We WILL NOT cheat, nor exploit an athlete to achieve a victory. In addition, if we lose, we lose with dignity, knowing that we played our best and gave our all. We WILL always respect our opponent, knowing that they, too, are striving for victory. We WILL treat our opponents as we would like to be treated.

We believe that baseball is a TEAM sport. Success will depend on the united efforts of players and coaches. We MUST ALL be striving for the same goal - TEAM victory. Personal goals must be secondary to TEAM goals, although one tends to support the other.

Above all, we believe that each individual involved is responsible to become all that he or she can become. Players should constantly challenge themselves to achieve, improve, progress and learn. Each person that joins this TEAM accepts the commitment to become the best that can possibly be. This not only reflects skill development, but personal development as well. Striving to excel is a never-ending goal. WE WANT TO BE THE BEST!

Interboro 18U Team Looking To Play Against The Best in 2006

Those of you who are familiar with our program know we have been holding indoor practices since the fall of 2005. Currently we are enrolled in conditioning at Batter-Up in Woodhaven, Queens. Workouts are Wednesday, 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM and Sunday, 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM.

We will continue to hold indoor conditioning practices sessions through the middle of April. Interboro 18U Baseball Team will continue training in pursuit of baseball excellence. Indoor practices will be held at Public School #1 located at 309 47th Street. The squad will work out from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM, concentrating on conditioning and fundamentals.

Once again, we will seek to become a dominant force in our league(s) and throughout the greater city. As in past seasons, we will look to strengthen our squad, seeking to find one or two talented players with similar goals and work ethics which were displayed by our 2003 14U Team, 2004 & 2005 16U Team. Over the past three years we have played in 262 games and have complied a record of 227W - 35L

We will be playing in the Parade Grounds and Queens Kawinis Leagues. Team goals for Spring 2006 include obtaining berths to the AABC 18 Tournament, 18U Pony Tournament and 18U RBI Tournaments. Each of these series involve local, regional and or national play. It is my feeling that this years Team will once again make it to the Regional's for Pony and RBI. All is up to you! Remember this throughout each and every practice, what you want, must earned. What you desire, will only come with hard work.

We have once again been invited to play in Moca, Puerto Rico in 2006. In lieu of traveling over the Thanksgiving weekend, the Moca Sports & Recreation Department wants the Team to come down for a week in August.

Coach Rich

Trash Talking....The Bottom Line

INTERBORO BASEBALL WILL do our talking on the field, on the mound and at the plate. WE WILL let the box-score speak for itself.
