Once know as the Indy Giants, the team had won 7 Stan Musial State Championships, and 11 Indianapolis AABC Championships. The record of 451-88 record, in 13 years is the most by any AABC team in Indiana. The Team is compiled of all past college and professional players, and had over 30 selected in the MLB Draft. The Stallions were formed in 2003, and competed in Indy's MSBL. The 1st season saw a perfect 21-0 record, winning the MSBL Championship. The undefeated season was the 1st in team history, and the 1st in the 13 year history of the IABL. The Stallions dominance has continued, as they have recorded Champioships in 2004-2005-2006-2007 and now in 2008. If your looking for the Stallions in 2009, look to the top of any division. The Stallions are a combined 136-7 over the 6 seasons in the IABL. Monday, August 25 STALLIONS TAKE 6 STRIGHT TITLES The 2008 MABL Season came to a close this Sunday, as the top 4 teams advanced to the Semi-Finals. The # 1 Stallions would play the # 4 Hurricanes, while the # 2 Dodgers would host the # 3 Arrows, as the 1st part of the Double Header. The winner of those 2 games would play in the Championship Game as the 2nd part of the Double Header at Decatur Central. As it would play out the Stallions would defeat the Hurricanes 14-3, while the Dodgers would take care of business, by defeating the Arrows 6-2 in the Semi-Finals. This pitted the Stallions and Dodgers. The top 2 teams in the MABL, and 2 teams that know each other very well. With the sun pounding down for most of the day, the 2 teams were confident and ready for the showdown. They had met in the regular season with a both teams taking a victory in the 2 game series. The Stallions brought out Ace Keith Hatfield (7-1) while the Dodgers answered with Ace Mark Buis (5-0) . Both pitchers were posting goose eggs through the first 4 innings, with Buis giving up only 1 hit. Hatfield was equally as impressive with his command of his 5 pitch arsenal. But Buis would surrender to relief in the top of the 5th, as he had dealt the last 4 innings of the Semi’s and was the spent with his 9 complete on the day. In the top of the 5th the Dodgers would scratch the scoreboard as Dustin Waalkens, would lead the inning off with a Monster HR to Right field. Hatfield would gather his composure and close the inning with 2 big strikeouts. With Buis out, the Dodgers turned to Waalkens, who has on more then one occasion silenced the Stallions hitters. In the 5th, Bryan Foster would lead off with a sharp single to Center, followed by a walk to Bryan Apolskis. With 1 out Jason Jaffe drove a double in the gap to score both runners. Mike Risley then stepped up and singled in Jaffe. Stallions lead 3-1 after 5 complete. With both teams feeling the sun and such a long day, there would be little threats in the later innings. The Dodgers posted some solid defense with Danny Taylor, Jimmy Crews, and Tommy Daeger all making fantastic plays to keep the Stallions from putting more on the board. The Stallions meanwhile stood behind their “Horse” Hatfield as he would dominate the last 3 innings and finish strong. “Hatty was once again determined not to let this group down, he knew (the team) was running out of steam down the stretch and he took the game over. That is a great team he beat today and we respect those guys. I bet half of them played or would have played for us if the Dodgers were not around. Mark Buis was outstanding, if he didn’t have to pitch that 1st game we may be talking about “The Blue” right now as Champs. I feel for those guys and we like playing them. It was by far the 2 top teams in this League, what a ballgame, and what a final chapter to another season.” The victory makes the Stallions the only IABL team in history to win 6th straight IABL titles, and the only team to Three-peat in both the MSBL and MABL Divisions. The Championship improves the teams overall record of (136 – 7). Wednesday, July 2 STALLIONS MOVE TO 7-2 The Indy Stallions moved to (7-2) by beating the Hurricanes 13-9. Rob McKeemon was the Stallion, going 2-5, with (2) 3-run HR's. Indy will play Astros at Roncalli, gametime is 3:30.

In the 7th, both teams would use a spectacular assists from the outfield, to cut down runners. In the top half, the Stallions had 3 hits but could only manage 1 run, as Cane OF Tom Gandolph and SS Jude Burger executed a perfect relay to nail the Stallions runner at the plate. In the bottom half, the Canes’ had 3 hits but could only manage 2 runs as Apolskis hosed a Cane runner moving to 3rd on a double by Danny Gillin. “That throw was amazing, I’m sure the Canes are still scratching their heads, I know I am. After the game, we were calling it “The Throw”. It stopped a rally and gave us the confidence we needed at the time and changed the momentum of the game.” CDavis cited. With the game (4–2) the battle started to heat up, with both teams chirping an and getting louder. Canes starter Hensley was dominate in the 8th and strikes out the side in the 9th , while letting the Stallions know about it and pumping up his teammates. Stallions SS Bryan Foster, “Hensley’s a handful, a top competitor and one of the top pitchers in the league. I knew we might have to make a pitching change, but they didn’t.” The Stallions would need relief and looked to Keith Hatfield (5-0) to close the door. He answered, allowing 0 runs on 2 hits. “I called on “Hatty”, I know he wanted some of this game and I know he is a “Big Game” guy. I had guys on the bench telling me, you have to bring in Hatty, he’s got that look, again.” When I flipped him the ball, he told me not to worry.” Davis said. Stallions prevail 4-2 and Bryan Apolskis is named the games MVP. The victory makes the Stallions the only IABL team in history to win 5th straight IABL titles, and the only team to repeat in both the MSBL and MABL Divisions. The Championship improves the teams overall record of (115 – 5). The Stallions will regroup and play on in the MABL World Series in Phoenix, Arizona in Oct.

Monday, November 12 STALLIONS FINISH 3RD IN NATIONALS Stallion Ace # 8 Keith Hatfield dealing the 2008 World Series Semi-Finals against the So Cal Snappers, as #29 Jason Jaffe and his black and blue body , stands next to the Mexican Monster. Stallions lose 11-5. I think, it might have been 9-5. That sounds better. FYI. Hatfield was named Cy Young with Bryan Fosrter being named MVP. Not bad for a 39 year old.
