District One Umpires School
The District One umpire school will Starts Jan 7th @ 7:00 – Fegley MS Media Center. They will meet twice in Jan & twice in Feb – the cost is $60 we need to Know about participation prior to first session so that we may prepare folders.

Admin Clinic @ Indy Jan 8 - 10
Every year new people are elected to Little League boards across the world. Little League Baseball hosts clinics to help both new and returning officers to better do their jobs.
Local Leagues, Districts, and Regions host clinics. Our Region, Central States, will be hosting a clinic January 8-10 in Indianapolis. The clinic cost $20. Here is the schedule.

Some reasons heard for not to going.
Don’t have the time: You can skip Friday and Sunday and still receive 90% of the training. It’s 2 hours 3 min from I65 and Rt. 30 to the clinic site. Leave your home at 5:30 AM CST Saturday and you will be at the hotel at 8:30 AM EST gives you half an hour to check in and make the 9:00 start. Coming home you gain your EST to CST hour back and are in time for supper.
Cost too high: Registration cost? Your league may pick up the cost. Room Rate? The clinic is at a premium motel. There are lots of motels in Indy you can find a budget price room with a quick web search. Or my personal favorite is stay in the dorms at Central States Region. Bunk, Clean Sheets, Shower, Towel, TV $5.00 per night.
Transportation: Indy and back is a one tank trip. Car pool.
