Mike started as a player, became a club coach for boys, then girls, and now Club Director. He was the Head Volleyball Coach for Omaha Burke High School in Omaha, Nebraska from 2001-2004. The Omaha Burke High School volleyball program made a significant improvement through its' players' club involvement and their summer programs. Their 2002 volleyball season was a great success with Burke being ranked in the top 10 in Class "A" Division team rankings.

Mike obtained his Special Services Teaching Certificate issued by the State of Nebraska by completing the requirements set down by the Nebraska Schools Activities Association.

Mike is an energetic coach with a winning work ethic. IMPACT's teams have traveled to several qualifiers since it's beginning in 2001. Mike qualified his team for the Junior National Championships in Salt Lake City, Utah in early July of 2001. In the 2002 season, most of the players on the 18's teams have received college volleyball scholarships from their participation in club and their attendance at the national qualifiers.

The 2003 club season proved to be the most challenging year with over 100 girls playing for the club. With the exception of one team, all of Impact's teams (12) attended one or two national qualifiers in 2003. The 2004 and 2005 season consisted of over 130 players and coaches.

During the 2005 season, the 131 and 121 teams were ranked one and two respectively in the Great Plains Region. The 161 and 171 teams were ranked in the top 10.

The 2006 season grew to 150+ players and coaches. The 121 and 131 teams were ranked one and three respectively in the Great Plains Region and finished high at the Colorado Crossroads Qualifier in Denver. Most of Impact's 13 teams attended at least one out of town travel or qualifier tournament.

In the 2007 season, Nebraska Impact 141 won the Northern Lights Qualifier in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in the 14 Club Division to qualify for the 2007 USA Volleyball Junior National Tournament.

In the 2008 season, Nebraska Impact 151 won the American Bid at the Great Plains Bid Tournament to qualify for the 2008 USA Volleyball Junior National Tournament which was held in Dallas, Texas.

In the 2009 season, Nebraska Impact qualified three teams for the 2009 USA Volleyball Junior National Championships which was held in Miami, Florida.  The 17 Select, 16 Select and 15 Select teams competed.

In the 2010 season, three Nebraska Impact's teams qualified for the 2010 USA Volleyball Junior National Championships in Reno, Nevada.  Both of the 18's teams qualified along with the 16 Select team.  No other club in the region had both of their 18's team qualify for nationals.  All of Nebraska Impact's 18's players received scholarships for college.

The 2010 season brought new and exciting challenges with the opening of our own volleyball facility!  Impact's teams now have a place to call home.  Located at 8619 South 137th Circle, Suite 2, in Omaha, the new facility has opened up endless possibilities for the club and its players.  The building has four regulation size courts with sports courts floors, 24' high ceiling, lots of lighting and a fun relaxed atmosphere.  We have a concession stand, restrooms, and room to serve.  We even turn on the sound system for music during some of our practices.  The players love it!

In the 2011 season, three Nebraska Impact teams qualified for the 2011 USA Volleyball Junior National Championships held in Atlanta, GA.  The 18 Select and 17 Select Banzai teams qualified by winning the national division at the Great Plains Bid Tournament.  The 12 Select team qualified by placing 4th.
