Welcome to Nebraska Impact Volleyball!
"Meet the Coaches" Scheduled!
If you are new or old to our club, plan to attend our "Meet The Coaches Day" at The Courts on Sunday, October 19, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. Hear about our club's philosophy, current and future plans, costs and other important club information for the upcoming 2008/2009 club volleyball season. A question and answer session will follow a short presentation.
Pre-Club Season Clinics Scheduled!
Nebraska Impact will begin their series of pre-season clinics on Sunday, October 19, 2008. Any players who will play in the 14, 13, 12, & 11 and under age divisions for the upcoming season may attend. Please note that if you are a 14 year old still playing with your high school team, you may not participate until your high school season is over. Clinic starts at 3:00 p.m. There will be an "all skills" or "specialty skills" clinic that will last two hours every Sunday at The Courts until club tryouts. Pre-registration is preferred, but not required. The cost will be $30 per player. Click here for a registration form.
Beginning Sunday, November 2, 2008, players who will play in the 18, 17, 16, & 15 and under age divisions will have the opportunity to sharpen their skills too. The clinics will be at The Courts every Sunday until club tryouts. Cost will be $30 per player. Pre-registration is preferred, but not required. Click here for a registration form.

2008-2009 CLUB SEASON
Welcome to our Nebraska Impact VBC players and their families! Tryouts will begin November 1st for 14's, 13's, 12's & 11's. The 15's, 16's, 17's & 18's will tryout on November 22nd. Click here for an updated tryout flyer and all of the information you will need for tryouts.
TRYOUT DATES!!!!!
Tryout Fee: $10 per player
Tryouts for 14’s, 13’s, 12’s and 11’s will be held Saturday, November 1, 2008, at The Digz.
14’s – 8:00 a.m.
13’s – 10:00 a.m.
12’s & 11’s – 1:00 p.m.
Tryouts for 15’s, 16’s, 17’s and 18’s will be held Saturday, November 22, 2008, at The Digz.
18’s & 17’s – 8:00 a.m.
16’s – 10:00 a.m.
15’s – 1:00 p.m.
Mandatory parents’ meeting 15 minutes before each tryout begins.
We will continue to have practice at The Courts Volleyball Center located at 137th & Giles in LaVista. Check out their website at http://www.the-courts.com. Your team will have a set schedule for practice times and sites throughout the season. Practices will be held two nights a week either on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings. Some teams may practice on Saturdays and Sunday afternoons until tournaments begin in January.
Nebraska Impact VBC will select two teams per age group. We are trying something new this season. We will have teams which will be designated as “Select” teams and teams designated as 1st teams. A few of the “Select” teams may already be selected before tryouts. If you are interested in filling an open spot on one of these teams, please contact Mike Godek at 402-339-6951 immediately. Our Select teams will play at higher age levels and the 1st teams will play within their age level but in Gold Division tournaments.
We will possibly select 2nd teams that will play in Silver Division tournaments for players who wish to learn and improve their skills. This will depend on the number of players trying out. Below is a tentative list of our coaches and their prospective age groups: updated 10-6-08

Nebraska Impact 151 Inferno Qualifies for Nationals!
Congratulations to the 151 Inferno players who qualified for the USA Volleyball Girls' National Championship tournament to be held this summer June 30 - July 3 in Dallas, Texas. The team qualified by finishing 2nd at the Great Plains Region bid tournament on May 4th winning the American Division berth to the national tournament. The team's players are: Middle Blockers Kendra Martin, Tori Nietzel and Frannie Fuxa; Right Side Hitters Jessica Kuehner and Emily Davis, Setter Jessica Hampton, Left Side Hitters Jenny Ludemann, Joy Leick and Carla Gibbs, DS/Libero Quinn Rensch and Rachel Bruch. Good luck in Dallas!!!
Northern Lights Qualifier Information
The 131, 161 and 162 teams played Saturday, Sunday, Monday, April 19, 20 & 21 at the Minneapolis Convention Center and the 141, 151 and 152 teams played Friday, Saturday, Sunday, April 25, 26 & 27. Our 141, 151 and 161 teams all made it to the gold tournament again and finished tied for 9th place in each of their age divisions. Congratulations to all of our teams!!! You made us proud!!!
Colorado Crossroads Qualifier Information
The 131, 141, 151, and 161 teams played, March 8, 9 & 10 and what a great job they did!!!! The 131 team finished 27th out of 64 teams from the Bronze. The 141 team finished 9th out of 108 teams from the Gold. The 151 team finished 9th out of 123 teams from the Gold and the 161 team finished 9th out of 120 teams from the Gold. What a great showing for Nebraska Impact teams!!!
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULES!
Tournament schedules are posted on the Great Plains RVA website weekly. You can find your team's playing schedule usually by the Wednesday before your tournament. The Great Plains website address is www.gpvb.org. Click on "Juniors" and then "Tournament Schedule". Scroll down the page to the tournament your team is playing in that weekend. There will be a link to click on that will show when and where your team plays that particular weekend. Click here to go directly to the page.
141 INFERNO QUALIFIES FOR 2007 NATIONALS AT NORTHERN LIGHTS QUALIFIER!!!
The Impact 141 Inferno team had a FANTASTIC tournament at the Northern Lights Junior Girls Qualifier April 13, 14 and 15. They won the gold medal by placing 1st out of 84 teams in the 14 Club Division in Minneapolis to win the National bid to participate at the USA Volleyball Junior Nationals this summer June 29 - July 2. The team went undefeated all three days with a match record of 10 wins and zero losses.
