Sunday, July 26 BIG LEAGUE BASEBALL The District 15 baseball team has won the Central Region Big League Regional Tournament and is headed for the World Series in Easley, South Carolina DO NOT CALL This website is only as good as the information it receives. Friday, July 24 By clicking here CHANGES Several of the tournaments have been changed since the original bracket was posted. This is due to teams dropping out. Please check this site often to make sure the information you want is up-to-date. REVISED TOURNAMENT FORMS The newly updated tournament forms can be downloaded from the Tournament Section in the handouts. They include tournament affidavits for baseball and softball, tournament mileage report and tournament enrollment form. ECONOMY With the economy the way it is today, many families will not be taking their usual vacations. One alternative is to take several day trips. Whether it is 20 miles or 200 miles, the point is to relax and get out of your regular routine. The state of Illinois has numerous sites to visit and many of them are located near the sites of Little League sectional and state tournaments. This could be a great way to get out of town and also support your hometown league along the tournament trail. Family fun and Little League Baseball/Softball is a great way to spend your summer without spending a lot of money. The Illinois District Administrators are citizens of various communities just like you who enjoy and are proud of serving the youth in their district. They are ordinary people who are committed to assist the leagues in their jurisdiction prosper. These people work in a variety of everyday jobs, have families, and other interests the same as you. The countless volunteer hours and miles driven often go unnoticed. So when you see one of these unique individuals, stop and say "THANKS" REMINDER MUST PLAY TO ADVANCE--A team shall not advance from level of tournament to a higher level of yournament play without first having completed against and defeated a scheduled opponet at the tournament level from which is seeking to advance. Any team advancing without play must do so with the written approval of the Regional Director.

Friday, October 31 2009 RULE CHANGES By going to the handout section of this site you can download 2009 rule changes published yestersday. These rules are for baseball and softball covering both regular season and tournament play. Tuesday, October 14 ASAP There is a sheet showing number of leagues and the number of approved safety plans by district throughout the state of Illinois. This sheet can be downloaded from the miscellaneous handout section of this site.
Saturday, October 11 SAFETY PLAN A SAFETY PLAN is available for download in the miscellaneous handout section of this website. This document contains a complete Safety Plan. In it are items surrounded by symbols that should be replaced with local information. Example: <>. Also compare the checklist with the new 2009 checklist on the Little Leaguw website. That was not available when this document was created. This plan has been approved by the Illinois District Administrators Assocation. If you click on the "divisions" heading on the home page, you will be able to see which districts make up which sections. The districts making up each section are based on the 2007 tournaments. The districts could change each year depending on which districts are participating. Thursday, September 11 METAL BAT ISSUE Chicago alderman Michael Fioretti is proposing a ban on metal bats in all youth baseball programs in Chicago. While the leagues outside of Chicago city limits won't have much influence, we should support the Chicago leagues in any way we can in contacting their aldermen to vote against the proposal. RULE 1.10 Effective immediately, the prohibition of white bats at all levels of baseball and softball has be rescinded. Sunday, March 2
