As the 2009 Fall Ball season is coming to an end, the District would like to thank all the volunteers whom dedicated their time in all the leagues from District 13. We also like to thank all of the league presidents and board members whom have served their leagues terms and wish them the best of luck. All of the leagues in District 13 will now begin to put together their plans for the 2010 season. Please continue to check this website for upcoming important dates.

Saturday, October 3
Fall Presidents Meeting
District 13 Staff will be hosting a Fall meeting for all the League Presidents on Monday, Oct 19th at the American Legion in Elgin beginning at 7:00 pm. We will discuss the 2009 season and begin preparing for the 2010 season. All League Presidents are required to attend.
Saturday, October 3
District 13 Player Agent Clinic
District 13 will be hosting the 2nd annual League Player Agent Clinic on Saturday, Oct. 24th at the Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. This clinic is mandatory for player agents in all leagues and is also open to any board members from District 13 leagues. Cost is $15 and includes, books, material, lunch. The moderator at this clinic with be District Administrator from Indiana 10, George Glick. Please email Anita Powers, District Secretary at anitathemommy@aol.com for further details.

Statebound - Bartlett National 10/11 Year Olds
The 10/11 Year Old Baseball District Champions, Bartlett National, defeated Mundelein in the Championship game 2-1 in Section 4 at Hampshire to advance to the State Tournament to be held in Moline, Il. Bartlett had to go thru the losers bracket and win their last 3 games to advance. They will have the bye in the first round this weekend and start their journey on Saturday. Good luck to and have fun this weekend and bring back a State Title to the District.

Heading to State - TriCities Little League
TriCities Little League Tournament team defeated River ForestĀ in an unbelievable Championship game in Melrose Park to advance to the State Tournament. TriCities had won their first game of the tournament against Libertyville then lost their second game to River Forest. Going thru the losers bracket they had to beat Libertyville once again to face River Forest. They won that game 4-1 then in the deciding game won 1-0 on a passed ball in the 5th inning. They now move on to the State Tournament to be held at Evergreen Park beginning this Friday.
