The Illinois Crusaders 7th grade boys basketball team has made it to the championship game in four straight tournaments this season. The team finished 2nd at the Stormin’ to the Hoop tournament (St. Charles), 1st in the Field House Turkey Classic at the brand new Lake Barrington Field House, 2nd in the Dolphin Tune-up (Elgin) and, last weekend, the team won the Holiday Madness Shootout (Lake Barrington).

Illinois Crusaders finish 2nd at the "Battle of the Border"!

The Illinois Crusaders finished second in the “Battle of the Border” event on March 10-11 in Highland, Indiana. During the event, the 5th grade Crusaders team defeated the Cincinnati Ohio Royals, Indiana Phoenix and the Gary Indiana Ball Hogs before losing in the championship game to the Merrillville Indiana Magic. In eleven tournaments during the 2006-2007 season, the Crusaders have five 1st-place championships, five 2nd-place finishes and one consolation championship.

The 4th grade Illinois Crusaders finished the North Suburban Basketball League (NSBL) season with a perfect 17-0 record by winning both the NSBL regular season championship and post-season conference tournament.

The NWYSA Illinois Crusaders has quickly developed into one of the premier community-based, traveling basketball programs in Illinois. In 2005, our inaugural season, the team capped off the season by winning the 2005 Illinois State Championship.
