il district 3: Welcome

Welcome to Illinois District 3. Home of Little League Baseball and Softball to Red Bland Little League (Taylorville, IL), Dale Teubner Memorial Little League (Springfield, IL) and CY Young Little Leauge (Springfield, IL).
The first round of the 9/10 State Baseball Championship saw Olney LL match up against Manteno LL. Manteno came out on top with a 7-4 win. In the 2nd game, Mundelein ecked out a 2-1 win over Evergreen Park.
The second round, played on 8/2, had Manteno against Clear Ridge. Manteno's bats were alive in this game as they came away with a 20-7 win. The 2nd game of round "2" featured Olney and Evergreen Park. Both teams were in the loser's bracket and battling to stay alive. However, Evergreen Park was able to plate 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th to take an 8-7 win, eliminating Olney from the tournament.
The third round continues today (8/3), with Manteno and Mundelein playing at 3pm and Evergreen Park and Clear Ridge playing at 6pm.
