Cadet softball fans will see alot of changes in 2010 due mainly to the graduation of seven seniors. Three varsity starters will return from the squad that won 22 games last year. Those three combined with a great group of underclassman will be the heart of the Cadets future. What the Cadets lack in varsity experience they plan to make up for with hard work, speed and athleticism.

          Three seniors return including Libby Wilwert, Liz Wagoner, and Rachael Hartema. Libby is already a 4-time letterwinner and also a 4-time All Conference player. Liz is a 3-time letterwinner and has a powerful bat. Rachael was a member of the J.V. team that went 16-2.

           Five juniors return including Mackenzie Eisentrager, Katie Geitz, Patty Hernandez, Rebecca Eagleburger and Leah Jessen. Mackenzie played J.V. 3rd base and hit .298. Katie played J.V. 1st base and hit .278. Patty played J.V. outfield and hit .389. Rebecca played J.V. outfield and hit .353. Leah played J.V. outfield also.

            Two sophmores return that were on the J.V. team including Hannah Krogh and Burgandy Oelmann. Hannah played outfield and caught while hitting .318. Burgandy played centerfield and hit .316.

             Six Freshman return that were on the Varsity and J.V. teams. Jamie Peterson, Brittney Hammond, Delaney Vierkandt, Jessi Timm, Lindsay Barnhart, and Mary Jane Halder. Jamie played varsity 2nd base, hit .291 and was selected 3rd Team All Conference. Brittney played J.V. rightfield and led the team with a .558 batting average. Delaney played 2nd base and hit .468. Jessi played shortstop and hit .392. Lindsay pitched her way to a 14-2 record striking out 115 and hit .293. Mary Jane played outfield and catcher while hitting .273.      

             In addition there are five more sophmores that were a part of the Freshman team. Sami Bonin, Morgan Kent, Christy Pommrehn, Haley Jass, and Paige Weidemann. Also Freshman Sarah Adams, Breanna Keane, Haley Robertson, Megan Williamson, Shelby Wilcox, Allison Smith, Harli Janes, Journee Bradshaw, Kyah Felland, Alexis Schowalter, Jessie Meier, and Jessica Dague. We are looking forward to working with all of them.
