ICBA Planning Meeting May 7, 2011 Notes

ICBA All-Stars Event

Terry and Melinda Daniels will continue to be the Directors and point-of-contact for the All-Start Game. Their contact information is listed in the ICBA Directory.

Taylor University will be the host school and facility. The event will be held Saturday, April 7, 2012.

The selection process will be as in the past and will be for Varsity Boys and Girls.

ICBA State Tournaments

Junior High Boys and Girls, Junior Varsity Boys Tournaments:

The tournaments will be held and information will be available. Currently information is posted on the ICBA Home Page and in the Handouts and Tournaments Info. section of the ICBA website.

Depending on the number of entries it has been proposed to limit the number of games played in the tournament by each team to a maximum of four, preference is given to a maximum of a three game limit unless a team loss placed them in a consolation bracket.

Varsity Girls and Boys Tournaments:

The format will be a North and South Regional Tournaments qualifying teams to a Boys Final 4 and a Girls Final 2. The teams of the ICBA will be seeded 1 through 20 or how ever many teams we have for the boys and 1 through 10 or how ever many teams we have for the girls. These tease will be divided by geographical location as well as seed into 2 Regions, the North and The South.

The Regions will be conducted in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis as facilites allow on either Friday, February 24 or Saturday, February 25, 2012. 3 Point and Free Throw events for Boys and Girls will be conducted at the Regional Level. Awards will be given for 1st Place only.

The Varsity Boys and Girls State will be conducted Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Bluffton, IN in the Life Center Gym, Oak Street. Information will be posted on the ICBA website.

Entry fees for ICBA State Tournaments will be $150, $100 to help the host organizations defer costs and $50 to the ICBA to pay for awards.

Awards for the State Finals will be given for 1st and 2nd. There will be no game played for 3rd and 4th. Those teams will receive Final 4 medals.
