Contestant Names for Free Throw & 3 Point Contest
I would like to have the names of the boys and girls doing the contest on Friday and Saturday. We will have the boys contest during the half-times of the games and I would like them to know what time they will be expected to be on the court. The girls contest can take place during the break from 4:00 - 6:00 on Saturday.

Still in need of several rosters. We only have Huntington Boys and Girls, MCAC Wildcats, Ft. Wayne Guard, and WACHE. Still need 2 girls rosters, and 5 boys rosters in order to have sufficient time to have printed.
2/3/2012 VARSITY BOYS AND GIRLS STATE INFORMAITON:
To follow-up on an email we sent prior to the season, here is the latest on the state tournament that will take place over two weekends (February 24 & 25 [North Regions] & 25 [South Regions] + March 3 [Boys Final Four & Girls Championship]).
1. We are revising the ICBA Sweet 16 format a bit to include all teams who register in an effort to reduce travel time & costs for most teams. There will be two sites: one north (Life Church [the old Bluffton High School] 428 South Oak Street, Bluffton, IN 46714) on Friday February 24 Saturday February 25 & one south (The Gathering Place 1495 West Main Street, Greenwood, IN 46142) on Saturday February 25. Each will host between 8-10 boys teams (split into Northeast, Northwest, South, & Central Regions) and 3-4 girls teams each (split into North & South Regions). The entire tournament will still be seeded from top to bottom and the best 5 teams will have the opportunity to travel to another site if it helps them preserve a better seed. The boys’ tournament will have four teams remaining after that initial weekend and the girls’ two teams.
2. North & South 3-pt/FT champs will also be crowned at each site.
3. The Boys Final Four & Girls Championship will take place on March 3, 2011 also in Bluffton. There will not be a boys or girls consolation game that day. Medals will be handed out to regional champions and regional runners-up. Trophies will go to regional champions, state runner-ups, and state champions for boys & girls.
4. Cost for the boys & girls varsity state tournaments will be $150 for a guaranteed two games. That amount will go toward the awards as well as the regional and state hosts.
The following teams include who we know are competing this year, though being listed below doesn’t mean we have received registration for this year’s state tournament. To verify that you are registered or to download documents, please visit the ICBA website. If you know of other teams not listed, please reply with their names & contact info.

INDIANA HOME SCHOOL INSURANCE PROGRAM / USSFA
The Indiana Christian Basketball Alliance has an insurance program for those who need coverage. The Insurance has liability coverage which will make it easier and less costly for you to rent public gym facilities. The insurance summary can be reviewed by opening the attachment "USSFA INSURANCE SUMMARY." Club and individual forms are also attached in pdf format which can be printed, then filled out and mailed to the USSFA Office.

The following is coverage provided to your club/team via membership in the USSFA program. Insurance coverage begins August 15, 2011 and expires on August 15. 2012.
To have complete insurance your club/team must be a member ($25 per Club) plus all participating coaches and athletes ($12 per Coach and Athlete). Coverage is good for all organized/supervised practices and competitions.

BORDER BATTLE -- December 10 & 11, 2011 -- Fort Wayne, IN
Hello homeschool basketball teams,
In regard to this year's Border Battle Tournament, there will be many changes. First we are opening the border battle to all surrounding states: Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky. Secondly, we will expand the tournament from 16 to 20 teams: 8 Varsity girls and 12 Varisty boys from each side (Indiana vs. Borders). Thirdly, we will expand the tournament to a two day tourney. Eight boys and eight girls games will be played on friday evening. The girls games will be at 7:15pm and boys at 8:30pm. That leaves 4 boys teams from each side that will play all three games on saturday. All other boys teams will play 1 on friday and 2 on saturday. Since all four states will play 3 games against Indiana teams I will need everyone to respond with your teams interest. THE FIRST 4 BOYS TEAMS TO RESPOND WITH THE INTEREST IN PLAYING ALL 3 GAMES ON SATURDAY WILL GET THAT POSITION. Please respond ASAP as this tournament will fill fast.
