— WELCOME —

Welcome to the Lanier Purple Pups Girls Lacrosse website. The Lanier team is a HYLAX (Houston Youth Lacrosse) club team. It is open to girls who attend Lanier or are zoned to Lanier and go to school elsewhere.

 Did you know?

  •  If you click on our Handouts link to the left, you will be taken to a page with summary information about girls Lacrosse and a info about out 2010 Lanier Lacrosse plans, schedules, costs, etc. 
  • We currently plan practice 3 times per week for 2010, Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 5-6:30PM.
  • Practices and home games will be at the South Campus Sport Campust (West Belfort at Stella Link and South Main, just south of 610). No experience is necessary. 
  • Last season we had one team with 29 players.  About 9 were returning with the rest new.  Join us!
  • The team has 3 experienced coaches returning for the 2010 season, they are Erica Esparza, Jessica Walcik, and Gloria Milian

  • Games are on weekdays and weekends.

  • Yes, you can play lacrosse and do other activities, however, please honor your commitment to Lanier Lacrosse by attending practices and games.  Playing time is tied to team commitment.

  • Registration:  You must join/renew the national lacrosse organization (www.uslacrosse.org) and HYLAX.  Players provide their own equipment (stick, goggles, mouthguard, cleats/shoes), new players will need to purchase uniforms.

  •  We play games against other public and private middle schools in the Houston area.  You can view our schedule from the schedule or calendar links on the left.
