Reminder to all swimmers - please allow time to shower in the locker rooms before entering the pool.
New swimmers - what to bring to practice - swimsuit, cap, goggles, flip-flops/slides/crocs and bring your water bottles to practice every day. We look forward to seeing you at the pool!
Important dates
  • September 9 7PM - RETURNING SWIMMERS PARENTS MEETING
  • September 15 - FIRST DAY OF PRACTICE - ALL Age Groups
  • September 19 5-7 PM - Swimmers Choice will be at the YMCA To fit for Bathing Suits and order Team Gear
  • October 4 - HYB at EastHampton YMCA dual meet (YMCA meet) tentative
  • October 24 - 26 - Middies Halloween Invitational Meet at White Plains

1. The site will contain all swim meet information as it becomes available, meet info, results - 2008/9 Tentative meet schedule now posted - links indicating meet specific info where available will be posted soon or as they become available
2. Qualifying meets and times will be updated as they become available - many are already updated
3. IMX Extreme challenge - from USA swimming - information posted under News - check the board at the Y for handouts in September
4. News - check under news for more information andfun and informative swim sites.

Other stuff
1. All swimmers must compete in at least 3 YMCA events to compete at Y states - these meets are indicated on the meet schedule as (YMCA) meets.
2. Team gear will be expanded this year to include swimmer / parents t's, polo's, bumper magnets and towels - more info will be coming soon - check back.
3. Winterfest - meet information now posted. There is a new scholarship opportunity for a graduating Y Senior in memory of Emily Schindler - a Y swimmer who lost her life in a tragic accident several years ago. Please read all about Emily on the SPY site (linked to Winterfest under swim meets) - she gave the inaugural speech at the 2003 Winterfest and that same speech was read a year later at her funeral.
