Hudson Valley Hurricanes Fastpitch Softball : 12U Black

The 2010-2011 12U Hudson Valley Hurricanes Black team is a competitive "A" level fastpitch softball team and comprised of girls from NY and NJ. This 2nd year 12U team is managed by Kristen Sullivan with Coaches Jackie Dinuzzo and Alycia Rodriguez. Currently in a fall season followed by winter training, the Hurricanes Black team will play a competitive spring/summer tournament season with the goals of player improvement and qualifying for and attending Nationals.

Manager Kristen Sullivan is the former Head Coach at Division II St. Thomas Aquinas College (STAC) winning the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference "Coach of the Year" award in 1998. Kristen is currently the pitching coach for STAC. Kristen is teaching certified and a private pitching coach for softball players 7-22 years of age in the NY/NJ Area.  She assists her players and parents in preparation for college placement.

This year Kristen has been inducted into the Rockland County Sports Hall of Fame for her athletic achievements and her continued contribution to sports.
 

Kristen Sullivan was also a standout D II Scholarship Player, pitching 7 no-hitters in college and STAC's only "perfect game". 

Coach Jackie Dinuzzo has coached  5 years at the collegiate level. Jackie is currently the North Rockland Varsity Softball Head coach with a Masters degree in Education and is a HS Social Studies teacher. She won the High School League Coach of the Year award during her 1st year as head coach. Many of her players played in the finals of the 2010 Senior League World Series.
 

Coach Alycia Rodriguez is a standout former Division II Scholarship Athlete. She was a college catcher and instructor. She has 10+ years of travel softball experience.  As a four year varsity starter, she was an All County, All Section and All State player.
