Huxley Little League: Welcome

Huxley Little League News:

Greetings Huxley Little League Parents!

With snow on the ground and cold weather outside, it is hard to believe we are already getting ready for the 2014 Huxley Little League (HLL) season.  However, spring will be here before we know it and the HLL board is getting excited for another great season.  In an effort to keep parents better informed on HLL news and events, we have developed this new  e-newsletter.  As always, should you ever have any questions feel free to contact myself or any of the HLL board members.

Sincerely,
Russell Zimmerman
HLL General Manager

Central Iowa Challenger League
Are you looking for a sports league for your special needs student? The Challenger League was developed to promote, advance and sponsor youth sports for children with special needs in the Greater Des Moines area.

The Challenger League got its start several years ago as a tee-ball division of the Johnston Little League. The joy and excitement of these athletes encouraged the organizers to offer other sporting activities. In addition to baseball, the League now offers indoor soccer and basketball as well as special events like awards parties, picnics and bowling outings.

Challenger League kids love to have fun and enjoy playing these sports. Games are a family event, with parents and siblings providing assistance when needed. The families enjoy spending this time together and are grateful for the opportunity to play sports. What a rewarding experience it is to see the thrill and pride in the athletes' eyes when they hit the ball, score a goal or make a basket!
