Heart of The Columbia Basin
Othello is a small farming town in the heart of the Columbia Basin Irrigation Project in Washington State. They are located 25 miles south of Moses Lake and 45 Miles north of the Tri-cities. Othello is also about 120 miles south of Spokane.
Othello has been very proud of their high school teams. Football, soccer, fastpitch, basketball, wrestling and golf have all been State Champions. Othello is mostly noted for their fine wrestling program, but the fast pitch team is quickly catching up.
Besides being a farming community Othello is also known for fishing and hunting.

All-League Players Announced
Ten Huskies have been selected to the CWAC All League. These include 1st teamers; Donna Franco, Daniela Villegas, Nina Gonzalez, Michelle Wheeler and Rachelle Mohs. 2nd teamers Kristine Valdez, Jenna Rosenberg, Bi-Bi Villegas, and Misty Adams. Tabitha Gomez rounds out the picks at Honorable Mention. Excellent job ladies!!!

All-State Team
Five Huskies earned All-State honors. 1st team honors go to Donna Franco infield, and Michelle Wheeler outfield. 2nd team pitcher is Nina Gonzalez, who also got Honorable Mention infield. Honorable Mention went to Daniela Villegas catcher, and Rachel Mohs outfield. All but Donna Franco return next year!!

Huskies Finish Second at State!!
Although they fell a game short of their ultimate goal the Huskies played excellent ball all through the state tournament. The Ladies lost the championship game to Hoquiam (27-0) 0-2. They kept the game close and had several chances to score, but couldn't push the runs across.
In other games at state the Huskies defeated Granite Falls 5-1, Then had an exciting game against Archbishop Murphy beating them 4-3. Nina Gonzalez pitched both wins on the first day. On the second day Michelle Wheeler started out the day with a victory against Chimacum 4-1. Jenna Rosenberg hit a three run homer to break the game wide open. The Huskies finish out the year 22-5 and second ar State, Nice job girls, can't wait till next year!!

Six Huskies Earn All-League Honors
Six Huskies were voted to the CWAC all-league team. They were Michelle Wheeler 1st team pitcher, Nina Gonzalez 1st team pitcher, Daniela Villegas 1st team utility player, Bibi Villegas 1st Team infielder, Rachelle Mohs 1st team outfielder,Erica Wheeler rounds it out at 2nd team catcher, Coach Ochoa was named CWAC coach of the year, and Nina Gonzalez was named CWAC Player of the Year. Nice Job Ladies!!!

Four Huskies Make All-Area Team
Nina Gonzalez and Rachel Mohs earned 1st team honors at pitcher and outfield. Michelle Wheeler and Bibi Villegas got it as 2nd team utility and infield. We are very proud of all you girls.

Three Make All-State
Three Huskies have made all-state, the three are Rachel Mohs 1st team outfield, Nina Gonzalez 2nd Team pitcher, and Daniela Villegas Honorable Mention catcher. Congratulations girls you represent our team well.

SEVEN MAKE ALL-LEAGUE TEAM
Seven girls have made the CWAC all-league team. 1st teamers are BiBi Villegas infield, Michelle Wheeler infield, Alexis Montemayor outfield, Kylee Mollotte outfield, Erica Wheeler catcher, Nina Gonzalez pitcher. 2nd team honors went to Oly Lopez infield, Michelle Wheeler pitcher. Nina Gonzalez made Player of the Year.

DISTRICT CHAMPIONS
Huskies win three to advance to the State Tournament. The Lady Huskies defeated Prosser 14-0, then Selah 10-0, and Ellensburg in the finals 5-0, to become the District 5/6 Champions. Huskies are 22-1 for the season and will face Cedercrest in the first round at state.

This years Huskie team has a lot of high stats, Alexis Montemayor had 39 stolen bases, 35 runs, .460BA, BiBi Villegas had 7 home runs, 8 doubles, 29 runs, 28 rbi, .530BA. Erica Wheeler hit .500, 36 runs, 3home runs. Kylee Mollotte hit .460BA, 26 stolen bases, 36 runs, 5 Home Runs. Michelle Wheeler .540, 35 runs, 33 rbi, 9 doubles, 8 homeruns, Nina Gonzalez, .510, 40 runs, 42 rbi, 13 double, 3 triples, 10 hr. Pitcher Nina had an outstanding .083era, 165 k's, 15w 0L, Michelle had .378era, 94 k's, 11w 1 L
