Hurricanes win Halloween Classic Championship

Mine is the Strongest Kung Fu
We had an excellent weekend in Indianapolis. Great fun. The team played exceptionally well going 4-0 with no goals allowed. In the finals we had a great match against a team from Austrailia. We really learned a lot about their culture and which made it an enriching experience. I heard they are looking for a kid to be on the cover of Soccer Indiana. Maybe they'll use this kid like Soccer Ohio did last month... or maybe not...

You can get more photos by clicking on the photo. Some of them are really good... They are! I promise!

Hurricanes Winter Tryouts

The U15 Hurricanes team is back and better than ever while the U14 Hurricanes have made it to the premiere level for spring. Open tryouts for the U15 girls team will be held November 6th at Idlewild at from 1pm until 3pm.

We also have 2-3 spots open for our U14 premiere team. You can also register for that team's November 1st tryout by clicking the link above. We are especially interested in goalkeepers for either team.

Hurricanes Earn Spot in Premiere Division

The Hurricanes have journeyed all the way from a recreational team a just two and a half years ago, to the top division of the best league in the area. We are so proud of all our players who have improved faster over this period of time than all the other teams they have competed against to move all the way up through the ranks to the premiere division. Paige, Devan and Audrey are the only remaining players from the rec team. From the original U12 select team we still have 9 players including Jaime, Maya, Kayla, Kendall, Rachel and Chloe. Great additions in previous years have been Chelsea, Stephanie and the Cagle kid who have been with us through some of the less successful seasons and we're so glad they're here now to enjoy our success. The players that joined us this season certainly deserve a lot of credit for helping us achieve our best results ever. . Thanks to Maria, Leigha, Kathryn and Jessica for making this season special.

Congratulations, Hurricanes. You've Earned It.

Hurricanes Unbeaten in League Play

We've had our best season ever so far this fall in terms of our record in the CUSL league.

Three seasons ago, when we first joined CUSL, we finished in first place of the C2 division with an unbeaten 5-0-2 record.

Our second season we finished 3-1-3 in second place of C1 and nearly moved up to premiere but were robbed of that chance by a 2-1 relegation match loss.

Last season we didn't win all the games we should have and finished in 4th place with a 3-3-1 record. With the demise of the MTSC Hotshots who finished ahead of us, we technically finished in third place which was still the worst finish we've ever had.

We've definitely turned things around this season and currently have a perfect 5-0 record with only one goal allowed this season. (bad call) A win or tie in either one of our two remaining games will make our promotion to the premiere division a mathematical certainty. Our next match is against the 2nd place CUSA Premiere team who has only one mark on their record coming from a draw against the STAR Jaguars in the first week of the season. The CUSA team just moved down from the premiere division this season and the other coaches in our division that have played them are raving about how well they play. If we win or tie our match against CUSA Premiere on Saturday, we not only lock in our promotion to the premiere division, we also ensure a first place finish in C1. Win or lose, we couldn't be more proud of the way the team has improved and matured this season.

Hurricanes Recognized for Good Sportsmanship

Winning the Fall Ball championship was great but I'd trade the trophy for a letter like this one. I'm really proud of our whole soccer family. This is what the Hurricanes are all about.

Hi Bill,

Congratulations on winning the Fall Ball Tournament.  You guys have a great team and deserved to win it.  I’dreally like to compliment you on your players, fans, and coaching staff. Your girls played a really great game against us and everybody was acting in the spirit of sportsmanship; both on the field and on the sidelines. We don’t see that too often as for some reason a lot of teams we play in Indiana either have a really nasty coaching staff; or extremely mouthy parents on the sidelines. It’s terrible to say, but unfortunately true.  We didn’t experience any of that with your team and we really enjoyed that game.  Thanks for a great game and hopefully we’ll get to play again some day.  Good luck on the rest of your season.
