Because the team line-up must be turned in the day before the meet, the coaches need to know if a swimmer will not be able to swim by the Friday before the meet. After the line-up is submitted, swimmers’ events cannot be switched, only substituted.   Because swimming is a team sport, a swimmer’s unexpected absence at a meet affects the other team members, sometimes forcing a forfeit in a relay, disappointing other team members.

Please fill out the Family Vacation Form below and return it to Teddy Howe ASAP so that expected absences can be noted in advance. If a swimmer learns he/she is going to miss a meet after turning in the vacation form, it is imperative that the family let Teddy Howe know by the Friday before the meet.

*At the meet day morning practice, swimmers will work on starts, turns, and sprints as well learn the events they will be swimming during the meet. If a swimmer does not attend this practice, he should make sure that the coach is aware of his meet intentions
