FAQ'S

1.  WHERE CAN I FIND VOLUNTEER FORMS?  PLEASE VISIT THE ONLINE REGISTRATION LINK TO REGISTER AS A VOLUNTEER.

2.  HOW MANY GAMES WILL MY CHILD PLAY IN A WEEK? AVERAGE 2-3

3. WHEN ARE PRACTICES?  EACH COACH WILL DETERMINE WHEN THEIR TEAM WILL PRACTICE.

4. WILL MY CHILD HAVE TO TRYOUT? EVERY DIVISION WILL TRYOUT WITH THE EXCEPTION OF 4 YEAR OLD T-BALL.

5. WHAT DAYS ARE GAMES PLAYED?  UNTIL WE DETERMINE TEAMS, WE WILL NOT HAVE A GAME SCHEDULE.  GAMES WILL BE PLAYED EVERYDAY EXCEPT WEDNESDAY AND SUNDAY (UNLESS IT'S NECESSARY TO SCHEDULE A RAINOUT OR MAKEUP GAME).

6.  I FILLED OUT A VOLUNTEER FORM LAST YEAR.  DO I NEED TO COMPLETE THE VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION AGAIN?  YES.  VOLUNTEERS MUST REGISTER EVERY YEAR.

7.   IF I WANT A BOOTH AT OPENING DAY, WHO DO I CONTACT?  LOTTIE FANESTIEL.

Each team is responsible for either keeping score or announcing during the games.  The HOME team is responsible for keeping the Official Scorebook and the VISITOR is to announce players and operate scoreboard, as well as bat/pitch count where applicable (minor boys, major boys, jr boys and sr boys).  An adult needs to be up in the press box during the games.  (Official score keeping and pitch count must be done by someone 18 or older).  Pitch count and scores must be reported immediately after the game by the visiting team to hllkeeper@yahoo.com.  Teams will be penalized for not reporting pitch counts.   PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF IN THE PRESS BOXES!!  The only people that clean out press boxes are volunteers, so please do you part. 

Huffman Little League now has a Twitter account.  You can sign up for a twitter account for free and get text messages directly to your cell phone or email if you follow our account at http://twitter.com/Hllkeeper.  We will use it to post last minute announcements only, such as game cancellation or pickups.  Regular notifications will be sent via email.   It will also provide an additional means of communication in the event we experience a network outage or system failure.  It only takes a second to setup and is free.  Only Text messages charges apply.
If you do not setup a Twitter account, you will have to depend on the rainout line for last minute notifications -
IF AND WHEN GAMES ARE RAINED OUT, IT WILL BE POSTED ON THE WEBSITE AFTER 4:00 - BEFORE - IF FIELDS ARE SATURATED BEFORE THAT TIME.  AN EMAIL WILL BE SENT OUT TO EVERYONE ON THE DISTRIBUTION LIST WHEN POSSIBLE
