I want to congratulate all of the Hudson Valley Knights cheerleaders, student demonstrators, and coaches for another outstanding season. We had a great time this year with all teams showing that the hard work and dedication off the field translates into great performances on the field. Not only did they root hard for their football teams, they also showed the spirit and sportsmanship that is part of the Hudson Valley way. Nowhere was spirit and sportsmanship more apparent than at our conference championships. Not only did all of the squads do an outstanding job, with all three competing teams finishing first in their respective divisions and advancing to Albany for the New York Qualifier, Hudson Valley also won the spirit award, for demonstrating the most spirit towards the other associations. In Albany, our girls did an excellent job at the Qualifier, with our Peewee and Jr. Midget teams advancing to Trenton for the Eastern Regional’s. In Trenton, they both performed wonderfully, but that is where the run ended for Hudson Valley Cheerleading this year. In spite of what the score sheet says, in my eyes you are all champions.
We are proud of you, yes we are proud of you!
Linda
