The Hudson Valley Hurricanes Lacrosse Club was created by Mr. John Callanan in 2002 in order to provide girls lacrosse players in the Hudson Valley Region with a competitive, fun, and affordable off-season lacrosse training program which focuses on overall player development. In the Club's first four years it has quickly developed into a nationally-recognized program that successfully competes with other "elite-level" clubs at top tournaments and college recruting showcases throughout the Northeast. Many of the Club's alumni have gone on to play in top-level NCAA Div. I, II, and III programs. In 2006 Mr. David McNally announced the start of the HV Hurricanes' Boys Program. Within only months after the beginning of their inaugural season, the HVH Boys began competing in, and winning a variety of tournaments at all age-levels.
