Mr. John Callanan - Girls' co-Director/Coach
Mr. John Callanan has been a member of the Suffern High School History Department since 1996, and he became the Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Suffern in the Fall of 1997. Since that time the Mounties have recorded an impressive 171-42-5 record. Coach Callanan has also coached the Empire State Games' Hudson Valley Region Girls Lacrosse team since 2001, and he has served as coach for the USLacrosse National School Girls Tournament(New York) between 2001 and 2008. In addition to coaching lacrosse, Mr. Callanan also coaches the Suffern Boys Varsity Soccer team, and the Suffern Girls Modified Basketball team. A 1994 graduate of LeMoyne College, Mr. Callanan was a four-year varsity letter-winner on the Dolphins' Men's Lacrosse Team, and he also lettered in Soccer, and captained the LC Men's Rugby team. Personal - Coach Callanan and his wife Mary Lynn have three children, Daniel(4), Mary Kate(2), and Johnny(6 months)
Mr. Daniel Johnson - Boys' co-Director/Coach
Coach Johnson has been teaching science and coaching lacrosse at Suffern High School since 1997. He currently coaches the Boys JV team at Suffern and is the program coordinator for the Suffern Boys Youth Lacrosse organization. As a player he earned All-America honors at Suffern High School and played lacrosse at Brown University.
Personal - Coach Johnson and his wife Trish have two children, Aaron (6) and Abby (4).
Mr. David McNally - Boys' co-Director/Coach
Crysti Foote - Crysti Foote, widely considered one of the top women's lacrosse players in the world, joined the Hurricanes staff in the Spring of 2008. A two-time high school All-American at Suffern, and a three-time collegiate All-American at the University of Notre Dame(including 2006 NCAA "Offensive Player of the Year"-honors), Crysti also led team Canada in scoring en route to a 4th-place finish at the 2005 Women's Lacrosse World Cup. As the Assistant Coach at Columbia University, Crysti brings a wealth of exprience and expertise to the game.
Julie Foote - After earning All-American honors as a Senior at Suffern High School, Julie Foote continued her playing career at the University of Notre Dame where she solidified one of the most prolific offenses in NCAA Women's Lacrosse...which included the Irish's appearance in the 2006 NCAA Final Four. Julie joined the Hurricanes staff upon graduation this past spring. A long-time member of Team Canada, Julie brings with her tremendous experience at both the collegiate, and international levels.
